where does the 7900 gre heirarchy rank with nvidia and for davinci resolve?

someone is selling a used 7900 gre. price is tempting. less then 6900xt I feel that someone buying a high end card from 2024 and then already selling, seems off? right now my radar is looking for a used 3900 but prices are higher then im willing to pay.

I dont see the card listed in puget benches for davinci resolve. is it higher then 4070 ti super 1440p?

otoh im weary with amd as my rx 590 has lockups which I think is a w10 driver issue. thats with using older 2020 drivers or the last one offered. when I moved the rx590 to my w7 pc, not a single issue

pairing with 5950x and dual or maybe 3 monitors for editing. some gaming, always 1440p. not a hardcore gamer. so I dont mind to drop to med/high and low RT.

ok, I see that the 7900 xtx is under the 3080ti (7900 GRE isnt listed but lower then xtx) which is lower then 3090 I was considering. ok so that 7900 GRE isnt a good performer for DR.

Not too sure but I think it’s between a 4070 super and 4070ti gaming wise apart from the usual ray tracing not sure abt davinci

15% slower than nvidia counterpart (4070S). 6900xt is slightly faster even (lower time is better). Used 3080Ti will be the best bang for the buck for you.

3080ti 12gb isnt enough. 16gb is a sweet spot, but next card is the 3090 with 24, so thats the option. 40 series isnt in my budget

multi cam 4k footage with fusion , you will run out of memory.

aannnnd? why the hel would I buy a 3080ti. just go for 3080 or 3090.
