Welcome to the infinite cycle of what having a computer is. Something will always be better.

It's like saying if I didn't buy a GeForce 2, I would have gotten a 4090 If I just waited 20 years lol.

Not to mention if he's waiting for the 5090 he should really be waiting for the 6090 the greatest card ever made in just name alone!

Wait for 5xxx series instead, I have my aged 780 ti and bought Gigabyte 4070 Eagle because of the connector problem. Cable AWG mark is strangely the same like being on 6 pin or 8 pin cables. There are 6 plus and 6 minus cables present on the ring of the new cable. This is not enough for 450 or 600 Watt power draw. Similarly, it has 2 piece of old 6 pin cables together. Likewise, the power it can deliver is something like for GTX 680 cards. There must have been two of those new 12 pin connectors on RTX 4090.

I was able to play Wolfenstein enemy territories and Quake 3 on max settings @ 1280x1024. I think lol. I really just remembered going from a TNT to a GeForce 2 and actually able to play the games. Before it was 640x480. Only had 4MB of VRAM, but the TNT served me well for CS.1.3
