MOVE TO VIDEO CARDS PLEASE! --> Dead 9500 NP. Which GPU cooler to get for a 9500 NP?

I am debating about a new heatsink/fan for my dead 9500 NP. I am trying to fix it with a new bios flash. But I got the card with broken push pins from the previous owner. I tried replacing them, but the ones I have are too short. My choices are: ATI Silencer 1 or Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer Rev. 3

OR

9500 NP VGA Silencer Rev. 3

Compatibility:
Video Card Silencer Rev. 1 - Silencer Rev. 2 - Silencer Rev. 3 - Silencer XT - ATI Silencer1

9500 yes yes yes no yes

What do you think? Please let me know. I want best possible temps! Thanks!

No picture at all?

Bad dooby... :(

Yeah, i have tried with another pci card in to try and re flash it, but its gone. I even tried putting it in when the pc was on to try and force flash it, but than it says it cant detect any AGP devices. I emailed Sapphire and they said it is out of warrenty. Kinda sucks. This card was the L shaped ram and could mod to 9700 pro. :(

Have you tried the original bios? Their is a large bios collection on this website you could use.

I cant even get the pc to post. When I have the 9500 NP installed, the system constantly reboots. Only way the pc works is to either put in a old PCI video card, or put back in my x800 xt pe. I have tried by putting both pci and 9500 np in, but it just reboots with that card still. I also tried just having the PCI card in, and than when im about to flash it with flashrom, I put the 9500 np while the pc was on. Nothing happens, it just says that the AGP card isnt detected from its post. So, as a last resort, I guess i could try and take out my agp card and put in the 9500 np and try to flash it with a pci card... :)

Dont pull the X800 out while the computer is turned on, not worth the risk.

Try this: in the bios you can change what you want the computer to use to display before Windows starts. It's set to AGP by default, but change it to PCI. Then try booting up with both the 9500 and the PCI card in at the same time.

Did that too. I went from Onboard/AGP to PCI Device. I also even tried disabling 8x AGP. But I later read that the 9500 NP did actually support 8x AGP.
Maybe this thread can be moved to where I need more help. Since its wayyy off topic now :D

Thanks for all your help. Keep the suggestions coming!

No its not working. I wanted a new HSF because I got this card and the pins were snapped. I tried others, but they didnt fit. So i used some UV zip ties for looks. The heatsink is on and there is no gap between heatsink and the core. Atleast the fan on the card still works when I power it on :p

:) but its not an expensive card isnt it?

No, I only paid 30 bucks for it canadian. With the hope of fixing it and to be used in another PC.
