Whichever is cheaper and/or more durable. Storage speed doesn't matter for gaming. As long as you're on an SSD, you're good to go.

You selected the 990 Pro without the heatsink and the SN850X with the heatsink on Amazon. Many models, including the Lexar NM790, can be ordered with or without. Look out for price anomalies - the same model with the heatsink may be ridiculously expensive, but sometimes also cheaper than without it.

A suitable heatsink is probably included with your motherboard but you should check that.

It could he beneficial if your board doesn't come with one otherwise there are good relatively inexpensive options.


Just make sure you have proper clearance etc there are also low profile options.

I would only buy one if your board doesn't already have one.
