Why do you want to revert (roll back) to an older version?
Did you previously have the older version? Did it work fine? And if it did work fine, why did you upgrade?
Have you looked to see if there is an even newer version available?
Have you tried resetting this version?
Note is is very rare for a new version to cause problems. But it does occasionally happen. However, when it does, the maker typically soon learns of the problem and then releases a newer version to fix those problems.
To answer your specific question, rolling back to older BIOS versions will not "damage" the device. However, rolling back may re-introduce a bug a newer version was meant to fix. Or rolling back may remove performance improvements a newer version added. Or rolling back may remove support for a device, function or feature the later BIOS versions added.
