I've been using the Morpheus II over 3 1/2 years on different older GPUs, and it really works great for me.
As far as I know, it can also fit newer GPU's, like the RX 6700 XT or probably the RX 7900 GRE too.
It would be really nice to know, if some of you are planning to buy a RX 9070 (XT) to see if it is possible to mount a Morpheus II on it.
There could be several issues though:
- The GPU is very close to the PCIe-bracket (issues with mounting of the fans for example)
- GDDR6 Memory is very close to the chip (RAM-heat-sinks will not be able to cover the whole surface of the memory modules)
- Also I am not 100% certain, if the hole positions are 54x54mm, so they would suit a Morpheus II.
It would be nice, if it works out. Otherwise we could see us in the ghetto-mod section (fan-issue, memory-issue), to make it work out
In this picture, i tried to recreate the dimensions of the RX 9070 + The red part, which is the nickel-platet cooling surface of the Morpheus II
The screws you see are part of the tension spring found on the backplate of the PowerColor RX 9070 (XT) Hellhound
