do you see the bios screen with that graphic card during bootup?

Does a live linux see the hardware?

No i dont

Don't be mean, it's a legitimate question/problem.

Try cleaning out the slot. You can inspect it for physical damage, but it might just be dead.
I clean it and still didn’t work all what i need to know is it work in win10

Is the GT 220 even UEFI capable? If not, you'd need to run your BIOS in CSM/Legacy mode, quite possibly requiring a Windows reinstall.

Also, @Maleeik, what is your whole hardware? Crucially, what motherboard and processor are you using?
Thanks
I have motherboard asus p5g41c-m lx and processor intel core 2 quad

If the motherboard detects it, will be listed in bios. Then should see it in windows device manager. So you don't have to boot all the way to windows and find out if it's detected or not.

Please list the rest of system specs.
Be sure bios is set csm support module enabled.
Re-seat the card, try a different slot.
Try the card in another pc. If not detected the card may be bad.

How do the capacitors look on the card? Maybe just has a bad one. Replace the caps, might bring the card back to life.

If there are things you've tried already, please list them also. That way you don't get suggestions of what you have or have not tried.

GL!
The capacitors is in bad condition ur right thanks man

You may show pictures how you connected the stuff in the computer.

some mainboards have display outputs which are dead for some processors. some people connect the wrong port to the wrong display. Some people do not check their monitors if the monitor is set to the correct display port (the onscreen display may reveal if there is a display signal and which port is active). Some people use defective cables. You may also use a new cable.
You may test the graphic card in a known good computer.

(Regardless if the graphic card may be old or not)

Op stated bad capacitors, being a gt220, not worth money and time to bring that fossil back to life.

Capacitors are cheap and easy to change if one knows how, but I wish the OP had mentioned the bad capacitors at the start.

The GT 220 does work on Windows 10. It works on Windows 11, as well. The 342.01 driver is indeed the correct one for this card. On newer machines you will need CSM enabled and booting in legacy mode for it to work, though. However, it seems your particular card seems to have a hardware defect, which is understandable given how old and the generally low quality of the components used in super cheap hardware like this.

The people who are claiming that it is not worth fixing are correct. Even if you have no need for modern or fast graphics, you can pick a replacement for dirt, R5 220s and GT 610s cost next to nothing, not worth losing any sleep over getting this thing fixed, though it might be a good time to treat yourself to something like a RX 6400 that will work better with a modern OS like Windows 10.

If your computer has integrated graphics of any sort... don't even bother. Even Ivy Bridge graphics from 2012 (HD Graphics 2500 or 4000) run loops on that thing.

I highly doubt it. Also some games just don't play nice with those.

That said if it's "only" some caps that are bad it might be worth fixing, if the OP has equipment and skills to replace them, or unless they live in one of those places where even a GT520 cost a proverbial kidney.

Unless it's like socket 775 era Intel graphics, it's probably gonna perform better. Sure the NV drivers are much better, but then again the hardware simply isn't there. My 2010 Mac mini has a 320M, which is basically a GT 220 sans dedicated VRAM. I have a pretty good idea of where it stands... guess you can watch videos (as long as the bit rate isn't too high) and run retro emulators on it? (which is what I got it for, to be honest)

Fairly newer cards there, wasn't even really that good when it released honestly.

Keeping old cards alive requires that they get used every now and then however.

The older the card, the less capable too. I mean like X850 XT was released 2004 when PCI-E took off. I last benched one in 2022 making it 18 years old and has basic trimmer mods. Since sold the gpu to a fellow bencher for his amusement. :)

This card restricted to DX9 only. So that's 3Dmark99, 01SE, 03, 05, and 06 and Aquamark only. Will not run anything else. :)

I agree and after I reflowed the GPU and torture tested the card with FurMark, it just got stored.

I will advise not to furmark old cards. I mean you can, but that program cooks old gpus pretty hard. I stopped using it by 2012 at the latest after reading all the old horror stories. Just about as bad as Linpack extreme on a modern cpu.

You could.... slap it in the PC and run some benchmarks for the TPU competition as well. At least it'll get some use, plus worth maybe 10 submissions towards prizes. Food for thought ;)

Just wanted to be sure the reflow was good; used a lot of flux under the GPU which was probably why it worked.

Always use a lot of flux! At least it was successful!

Do you have a station or used the old oven trick?

Op is Probably not doing any other pcbs like northridge fix does, so to have additional equipment on hand is not cost effective as buying a fresh gpu
