So you have lost 78mb of ram huh?

tbh I wouldn't worry I have seen Windows report like that or 2048mb or 2gb etc I dont really know why, though I wouldnt worry about it, 1.97gb is practically 2gb.

Try use cpu-z and see what it says :toast:

No, I think i lost 2 gb of RAM.... CPUZ shows 4gb but what I don't understand is that why did windows shows usable RAM at 1.97, does it shows the usable RAM of one stick each and WEI score doesn't improve since I instlalled it

post us a screen of advanced boot options (run msconfig, boot tab, then click advanced options)

also are you sure the 2nd memory stick is put onto the motherboard properly, and in the right slot?

Verify CPU socket pins are in good condition. Sometimes a bent pin will cause a channel not to show up.

I disable advance boot when using msconfig for myself as I kinda get the same issue what you have, when I enable it I get only 5gigs usable (6gigs installed:confused:) crap:shadedshu so I don't bother with it:p, if that doesn't help, check your RAM voltages too in the BIOS, put them at defaults or within voltage limit, I had my RAM automatically set at 1.7volts when I was overclocking which is a no go:cry: and it showed up 4gigs RAM instead of the full 6gigs installed so set it back to 1.5volts which fixed it too, thanx to TPU:rockout::rockout: this is just my experience bro, I hope this helps:toast:

I wasn't familiar with this so I looked. In my rig, none of those boxes are checked. I think what is happening is that you have locked the system into only recognizing the 2gig.

Try unchecking the box and rebooting.
