Hi there.

Does anyone know if it's possible to run these 2 in Crossfire.

If it's possible then i think i will get one. They are only 130 euro's now.;)

Thanks

Since the GT is basically a lower clocked Pro, I don't see why not. You will however need to do a bios upgrade, and make sure both are running at the same clock speed (esp GPU clock).

That sucks, i did never flash a videocard bios before.
Personaly i would pay 20 euro's more for the Pro and not have to flash.

Do i have to flash it because of the fact that else the Pro is going to run at GT speeds?
Or doesn't it work without a flash?

You would have to flash it to let them run in crossfire. You can clock the GT to run at pro speeds.

But depending on the company that makes it the x1950gt doesn't have as good of a stock hsf, so you may want to upgrade it... If its not a problem then its not, but depending on how you want to do it either way will work.

nope!

Wait........I was thinking an X1950XT. If that GT has native Crossfire, which it looks like it does, then with a BIOS flash it may work. Why would you want to do that? Seems to much difficulty to me.
I would say go for the HISs in Crossfire, they're only $20 more after rebate. Those X1950GT probably have crappy memory chips, and the Sapphire's have terrible stock cooling. I had to RMA my first X1950 Pro (Sapphire) because I got black screens after 594 MHz (14 MHz over) due to inadequately cooled VRMs.
With the HIS, I have 661.5/810 rock solid stable. I can go as high as 823.5 on the memory, but that had some issues for some reason, even though it was stable in artifact scanning.

I highly doubt it would be better than two X1950PROs in crossfire as the X1950GT does not 100% = X1950PRO. The X1950GTs you have to remember use the inferior RV570LE quality Cores that sometimes cannot run at X1950PRO speeds (X1950PROs use RV570XT).
