XFX 5770 - 1-8 Pin Bridge Help

Hi Guys,

I've tried to do most all my own research --- but, would just like one of the experts to look it over to make sure I'm doing the right chip. And, that I identified the sets of pins to bridge.

I am fairly positive it is the chip in Neon Green. Based on this datasheet:

I just want to confirm I need to bridge the bottom pins on both the left and right side of the chip?

What would the point of this be? I am just curious as I have the same card in one of my crunchers.

Voltmods. I'm guessing this version of the PCB doesn't support software voltage control, unlike the version I traded to Brandonwh64.

OP, I'm afraid I can't help you. Just came to explain why you are attempting hardmods on the card.

What clock speeds are you trying to achieve? My card easily did 960/1300 without touching the voltage at all. The most I could get out of the core was 1GHz, but is it really worth breaking your card for a couple extra MHz?

By the look of the I/O backplate, the card has had some ab/use so is most likely expendable :laugh:

I was actually trying to fix what I thought was a bad bios flash. I was getting Adapter Not Recognized in ATIFlash. Doing a 1-8 pin bridge should allow the card to be recognized in ATIFlash.

And, yes -- the card was a cheap used one I picked up ---- and, it had been abused on the I/O plate.
