Personally for me NES is the most nostalgic, but for the best? I say Playstation 2.

I'd make a poll but there's a limit for the options. My top3 are PS2, NES & PS3. Xbox 360 gets a honorable mention.

I've only owned 3 consoles. The NES, the Wii, & now the OLED Switch. My wife has been a Zelda fan for a really long time.
Of the 3 the Wii is my favorite, but that may change as I get more time in with the Switch.

Sega Saturn for me.
That was never a thing at least here, PS1 dominated that segment. o_O

Tho I remember playing it once as a kid on the 90s. If someone is wondering, I'm 31.

I've been through most of the consoles that are available in north america, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Sega Master System, Genesis, Dreamcast, 3D0, Turbografx 16, PsOne, PS2, PS3, PS4, plus handhelds like Gameboy, Sega Game Gear, Gameboy Advance, DS, 3DS, PSP, and played most of the games worth playing on each.

I still have a box with a Gamecube, a Dreamcast, a ps2 and a psone though not sure the psone still works the others do. Ps2 probably my favorite because Timesplitters but psone a close second with FF7 and N64 3rd for Zelda games, favorite handheld original Gameboy, Zelda Links Awakening and Tetris occupied a good chunk of my childhood.

Atari 2600

I don't remember much about the commodore 64 other than that we had one. The only game I remember from it was Hunt the Wumpus game. I remember always bugging mom to play that game with me. However, then along came the Atari 2600 into my life when I was around 4.

We had every single game ever created for the Atari. I didn't know, but we had every game because my uncle pirated them. The games were all held in individual computer chips that looked like this:
Capture.PNG

Apparently my uncle had access to all the games from whatever company he worked with at the time and he made a copy of every single game for himself and for his brother (my dad). We had a cartridge that the chips would go into; you'd open the cover and unlatch the chip by lifting the lever, then you'd swap out chips for whatever game you wanted to play, push the lever down to lock the game chip in place and then insert the cartridge into the system.

We had these decent sized clear plastic cases, I'd say they were maybe 18" long by 10" wide. Each case had to have held 50+ games each and we had 7 or 8 of them. Inside was a large, thick sheet of black foam (maybe an inch thick, that you'd push the chips into to store them. Each chip was labeled. I played the crap out of PitFall, SpiderMan, River Raid, Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back and so many other games. I even played some of the adult rated games that I didn't understand were adult rated, I was only 4, maybe 5 years old. We had both types of controllers for the Atari, the joystick and the paddle controllers and I knew which controller played best with each game I played.

I don't know whatever happened to all the games we had, probably sold at a garage sale when I was young or thrown out. I know we had the Atari 2600 system, a handful of non-pirated games and multiple controllers until I was about 11/12 years old - it was at this point pretty much anything tangible that was game related or sports memorabilia related that my older brother stole and sold.....but that's a story for another time.

Soon after I turned 5 the NES released in the US and my dad bought one for my older brother and me and well, I'm still gaming 36+ years later, even though my gaming interests changed from consoles (probably around the release of the PS3) to PC gaming.

Probably either PS2 or PS3. I'm young.

Before we got a PS3 in 2009, I would play things like Burnout and Simpsons Hit and Run on our PS2.

Once we got a PS3, it was all Burnout Paradise and LittleBigPlanet.

And of course, in 2015 I switched to pretty much exclusively PC gaming with the release of Fallout 4.

I also had an original Nintendo DS (which died a few months ago when our shed flooded, RIP) that I got used in around 2009, and I still have my PSPgo that I got for Christmas in 2010 or so. I used both consoles a lot.

Oh those arcades.. I sure did use some FIM and later EUR coins on those bastards :)

The last time I played Sega Rally was when I served in the military in 2010. I'd like to play it again.

Fallout 4 is a 2015 action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fourth main game in the Fallout series and was released worldwide on November 10, 2015, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

I personally got it for Christmas of 2015.

Was rocking my first real "gaming capable" PC, which was an old yard-sale find HP workstation that I threw a $100 Zotac GTX 750 Ti into. Built that system specifically to play Fallout 4, and it kick-started my love for working on computers.

PS1 & PS2, never owned them & used to go to "game parlors" to play at the time. If I had to pick just one it'd be the best console ever IMO the PS1 :pimp:

Personally I count PS1 within PS2 as PS2 is backwards compatible. Of course my childhood was hugely impacted by PS1 and its great game library :)

Probably the PS1 for me. I think I might have liked it better than my PS4. I did play with all of the early consoles, but I spent more time playing outside except in the winter. I do like them all for different reasons, be it a game, a memory, a time in my life.. I actually just found an un modded Dream Cast tucked away in a box the other day. Looks mint and I forgot I had it lol..

Mine is Sega-Dreamcast. Loved playing powerstone 2 and Sonic Adventure 1 "SA1 graphics is better IMO rather SA2" and House of the Dead 2/Dead or Alive 2

Damn I forgot about xbox and Halo, I had the first 2 xbox consoles (including 2 rrod 360's which died even with extra cooling and hardware mods to increase airflow, after the first one died I modded the crap out of the second one).

Also I won a free xbox 360 elite in the Assassins Creed giveaway they had, there was a map with a 500x500 grid and you had to click where you thought an xbox was, I clicked the top of the tallest tree and won. I traded it for a ps3 because online was free for ps3 and my other 2 xbox 360's had died. Click to enlarge pics.
