ZALMAN today introduced the Acrux line of premium high-wattage PSUs. Offering full modular cabling, these come in variants of 1000 W and 1200 W. Both come with two 4+4 pin EPS, and while the 1000 W model offers six 6+2 pin PCIe, the 1200 W model does eight. Under the hood is a 100% Japanese capacitor design with single +12 V rails, 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, active PFC, DC-to-DC switching, and protections against over/under-voltage, overload, overheat, and short-circuit. Keeping things cool is a 135 mm fluid-dynamic bearing fan that stays off up to 1/3rd the PSU's rated load (within a thermal limit). You get full modular cabling. The company will start selling these two by late-September.

Intros ? These were out for like 4 years already, Zalman PR team are slowpokes or smth ?
But will it survive the GN test?
With all due respect to GN, they aren't the only PSU reviewers with ATE out there, and their reviews aren't even amongst particularly detailed ones, so far at least, i hope. And OPP test is one of the basic points. Even reviews on this very site (or THW, same author) are done more professionally, no wonder, since Aris has done PSU reviews for 10 years or so, so in fact Aris's reviews are the most detailed on the net.
So are they Japanese ?.
The PSU is designed in Taiwan (IIRC) by Enhance. And it's wholly made in China, including Japanese-branded capacitors, as with practically any other PSU out there.

I don't think the Zalman nowadays is the same as the Zalman we used to know in the past. I am surprised the company still exists. The last time I tried contacting their customer services like a few years ago, I got 0 response after 3 emails. Buy this at your own risk with this sorts of unresponsive customer service. In addition, my recommendation is always to go for brands that are known for making good PSUs.

So are they Japanese ?.
I'm 99% sure that they are, but it doesn't make it any less mediocre. I think it's the same-ole CWT PUO1250, only now re-rebranded cause the old "model" had some issues and negative feedback in reviews.

They seem to have lost the plot once their flower and orb coolers stopped being competitive, which is too bad. I kinda have a soft spot for Zalman as there were some of the first good coolers I used. IDK if they were ever the best but they always had really good build quality and their mounting hardware wasn't a disaster like a lot of heatsinks in the early-mid 00s.

Id wait till GN or TPU tests before buying, Zalman PSUs have been trouble in the past.

Their cpu coolers are pretty decent
