built the black sections myself, and incorporated an antec big boy (200mm fan), its the only system fan. The cpu is clocked at 3.6ghz 24/7 stable and has a thermaltake big tpy 120 vx on it to stay cool. the psu is mounted externally as the stock psu sucks and there isnt enough room for an atx psu inside.
on 24/7 settings shes good for over 17,000! - 06'3dmarks, and with the big cpu cooler, and antec bog boy, all round temps are very manageable, even in the hot aussie summer :D all in all, its a helluva sweet gaming box, and its super tiny, i love it. and custom is totally the way.

ive always wanted to build a lanbox but i dont really have the need because i have never been to any lan parties...not very popular in east Tennessee
It could use some tidying on the outside (cover the PSU cables, solid black appearance) but thats about it - hardware is fast, and in a small case. Only having two fans (200mm and psu) would help lower noise too... you should find a passive heatsink that fits that GTX (like the accelero S1 for the 8800GT, in my mini rig) - the less fans the better, imo :)
Id say build some sort of enclusure for the PSU. It would clean up the look alot!
Interesting take, fair play!
a few quirks though..
- Id scrape off those yellow squid like stickers on the front
- Id put a sleeve (preferably black) on the PSU wirez
- Id paint the PSU a flat black.
Aside from those, awesome job! ^^
Im honestly sorry but that is just straight up, hit every branch on ugly tree on the way down ugly.
Not only that, but at Lan parties comps are always getting banged about, this case says "what a bunch of pansies the rest of you comps are"
All he needs to do is square off the back, add a big handle and remove those stickers :P
nice specs and cool concept but could do with a slight clean up.. also would like to see pic of the inside
and i noticed you have made the outer shell out of wood and have missed a spot with the paint xD
good attempt and concept though.
i do know atm it is quite ugly, but the concept is great and its a POWERFULL computer for the size, ill be redoing the front panel (the most ugly part imo) and getting some cable management out the back of the psu too. and interior pics to follow, the 9800GTX fits with only 1.25 inces to spare :D
thanks sooo much to everyone that commented, i really love any input! and hopefully when i pretty her up, her rating will go up :D:D
thanks again TPU-ers

nice!
it really needs some work. the box needs finishing. or is it a work in progress? at the seams/corners you could fill them in w/ car bondo. and then sand it down in order to give it the "one piece" feel. the top vent should be painted a seperate color.
