For those actually contemplating to purchase a GTX 295, lol, do not waste your hard earned $$$. I had one, did the math, returned it, got an i7, mobo, and ram, then got these 2 4870 1g puppies for $149.99 ea and now I'm getting same or more performance. Quad SLI is a good concept, and if I was rich I would totally go for it, BUT, DX11 is comming out, so why blow up all that $$$ just to be outdated in a couple of months? The 1G ver makes a huge difference in benchmarks, at the neck when in CF with the GTX280's and right under the GTX285's in SLI. I have done MANY benchmarks, with different hardware. I have an 4890 toxic from sapphire and the same mb. I would like to ask you about the temperature the first vga reaches because I am interested in doing a nice CF myself but I feel that the first vga wouldn't have air at all.

anyway, the CPU Cooler is the max, I love Zalman. I bought my hw one month ago and that cooler didn't yet reached Europe, or else it was mine.

Thank you for compliment. The first GPU gets 5-6 degrees hotter. But as it turns out, there is always one GPU that is cooler than the other. So I swapped them around and got the setup right. These things hit high 80's, but specs say that is normal. Was thinking about aftermarket cooler, but I do not know how long im keeping these. So I'll leave them as they are. Don't be afraid of CF and space between them, they are just fine as long as some air gets in there. Make sure, thogh, that you have a case fan pushing air in their direction tp facilitate air movement. GGZ
