Cooler Master Power Supplies at 2023 International CES: GX III, V Gold, V SFX Gold, and V SFX Platinum

Cooler Master brought a wealth of new power supplies at the 2023 International CES, to match the anticipated growth in PSU upgrades with the advent of the ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5 standards. The GX III series will be the main workhorse for Cooler Master in its gaming-grade modular PSU lineup. Boasting 80 Plus Gold efficiency, the GX III comes in capacities ranging between 550 W and 1250 W, and cram in a half-bridge APFC, DC-to-DC switching, LLC, and a fan which offers zero-RPM mode up to a certain load. The 650 W, 750 W, 850 W, 1050 W, and 1250 W models include a 600 W-rated 12VHPWR connector, while the 550 W model includes a 450 W-rated 12VHPWR. Two EPS (CPU power) connectors are standard across all models. Depending on the model, you get two to six 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors. Cooler Master is backing the GX III series PSUs (along with most other PSU models it's launching at CES), with a 10-year warranty.

The V Gold i series features an interesting brushed-gold design element on the body. These 80 Plus Gold-rated modular PSUs come in 750 W and 850 W models. What sets these apart from the GX III series is their semi-digital control, with the PSUs interfacing with the MasterPlus software over USB, for real-time monitoring and basic control. Both models include one 16-pin 12VHPWR connector capable of 600 W continuous power, two 8-pin EPS, three 6+2 pin PCIe power, twelve SATA power, and a couple of legacy power connectors.

ENERMAX Introduces a Range of New Products Including its First ATX 3.0 Power Supply at CES 2023

ENERMAX, an industry-leading force dedicated to design extreme performance computer power supplies and cooling solutions, announces a range of new products at CES 2023 designed for the increasing power demands of new graphic cards including its first ATX 3.0 power supply, the Revolution ATX 3.0; and a fully upgraded 80 PLUS Gold certified power supply, the Revolution D.F. 2; the high-performance CPU AIO liquid cooler series, the AQUAFUSION ADV and the next-generation mesh panel gaming PC case with superior ventilation potential, the Marbleshell MS31 & MS21.

Revolution ATX 3.0 series is ENERMAX's first power supply that is fully compatible with Intel ATX 3.0 specification. To prepare for the next-gen graphics cards, the series is designed with one native PCIe Gen 5 12+4 pin 12VHPWR connector with power output up to 600 W, an extra one dual 8 pin to 12+4 pin (12VHPWER) cable will also be included for gamers and creators to install up to 2 of the latest NVIDIA graphics cards to enjoy the most advanced performance.

Wizmax Micronics New 2023 Power Supplies at CES: Amped Up for ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5

Wizmax by Micronics showed off four new PSU lines at the 2023 International CES. At the top of the stack is the Astro II Gold, a monstrous high-end PSU with 1650 W continuous output, 80 Plus Gold switching efficiency, ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5 standards compliance, and a patented digital-VRM voltage controller by Micronics. Other internal features include DC-to-DC switching a 135 mm fluid-dynamic bearing fan Zero RPM mode up to a certain electrical load, and fully-modular connectivity that includes two 16-pin ATX 12VHPWR connectors with 600 W continuous output each, twelve 6+2 pin PCIe power, two 4+4 pin EPS, and fourteen SATA power connectors.

The Astro II Platinum is technically positioned a notch below the Astro II Gold 1650 W, but is more efficient. The Astro II Platinum comes in 1300 W, 1000 W, and 850 W variants. The 1300 W variant offers two 16-pin 12VHPWR connectors (each 600 W), while the 1000 W and 850 W ones offer one such 16-pin connector. The three get their names from the 80 Plus Platinum switching efficiency on offer, besides a feature-packed AC receptacle with Surge 4K and ESD 15K tolerance, and fluid-dynamic bearing fans with zero RPM up to a certain load.

Cougar Updates GEX Series with 1050W Model

Cougar today updated its GEX line of full-modular premium PSUs, with a new 1050 W model. The lineup, until now, only had 650 W, 750 W, and 850 W models. The GEX1050 comes with a 135 mm hydro-dynamic bearing fan that stays completely off when the load is under 41%. This means that the PSU is practically fanless as long as your machine is pulling under 420 W.

Under the hood, the Cougar GEX1050 features a single +12 V rail design with 80 Plus Gold efficiency, LLC resonant converters, DC-to-DC switching, and most common electrical protections, against over/under-voltage, overheat, overload, and short-circuit. Connectors included with the GEX1050 are one 24-pin, two 8+8 pin EPS, eight 6+2 pin PCIe power, twelve SATA power, three Molex, and one Berg. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Enermax Shows MaxTytan Series of 80+ TitaniumPSUs With Integrated Power Meter

The MaxTytan series of PSUs, which Enermax showcased at Computex 2017, will stand in as the company's flagship power supplies when they launch later into the summer. All of them feature 80+ Titanium ratings (though they're absent of the more recent and more grueling Cybenetics testing.) The Enermax MaxTytan line will include four models at 750 W, 800 W, 1050 W and 1250 W outputs. All MaxTytan PSUs support the company's DFR (dust free rotation) technology as well as fanless operation at below 55% - 60% load. The 1050 W and 1250 W models also feature Enermax' Coolergenie device for system fan control, and have an integrated power meter (this one might come in handy for those of you looking to ride the crypto wave, uh?)

The MaxTytan series feature a modular design across all models, and have 2x 4+4 CPU power connectors. The 750 W model will retail for ~$200, the 800 W will go for $210, $299 will net you 1050 W capacity and a power meter, and the 1250 W MaxTytan PSU will go for $359.
