Compact desktop maker Shuttle is giving final touches to its XPC SH170R6 compact desktop barebones system. Designed to support 6th generation Intel Core "Skylake" processors, the SH170R6 gets you started with a custom-design motherboard based on the Intel H170 Express chipset, with two expansion slots (one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 and one PCI-Express 3.0 x4); four DDR4 DIMM slots, a 32 Gb/s M.2 slot, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports; a heat-pipe based CPU cooler, and an 80 Plus Bronze rated 300W power supply.

Fractal Design showed off its latest wares at Computex, beginning with the Node 202 and Node 202+ mini-ITX cases for HTPC builds. Featuring a slick, minimalist design, and dimensions that compare to game consoles (10.2L volume, 377 x 82 x 330 mm), the Node 202 has room for a standard-height mini-ITX motherboard, CPU coolers up to 56 mm tall, an SFX power supply, a full-height, dual-slot graphics card (using a PCIe x16 riser) up to 31 cm long; and two 2.5-inch internal drives.

There are two 120 mm fan mounts in the add-on card chamber, with dust filters. One such dust filter hovers over the CPU socket area, so your cooler doesn't breathe in dust. The basis of the CMD is the state of the art technology and quality materials COUGAR is already well known for in the PSU market. Xigmatek rolled out the Maverick S line of mid-range power supplies, which are designed to offer high value for money, and come at price points deep inside the $100 mark. Although designed to fit ATX or micro-ATX cases, the Maverick S conforms to the PS3 form-factor, which has the same height and width, but lesser depth than standard ATX. The unit measures 150 mm x 85 mm x 123 mm (WxHxD). It still uses a 120 mm PWM controlled spinner to keep cool, which is tucked away behind a refreshing new grille pattern. Xigmatek also launched the conventional ATX version of these PSUs, the Maverick, which comes with a depth of 158 mm.

The Maverick S is a partially modular PSU, with ATX, EPS, and at least one set of PCIe power connectors being fixed, which others being modular. It comes in three models, 400W, 500W, and 600W. The three feature single +12V rail designs, active PFC, most common electrical protection systems (over/under voltage, overload, short-circuit). All three models offer 80 Plus Bronze certified efficiency, and ATX 2.3/EPS 2.92, with support for Core "Haswell" C6 power-states. The company didn't disclose pricing or availability details.

Be Quiet launched its SFX Power 2 and TFX Power 2 lines of power supplies for compact gaming PC builds. As their names suggest, they're based on the SFX and TFX form-factors, respectively. The SFX Power 2 comes in capacities of up to 400W, with enough juice to drive a gaming PC with a single high-end graphics card; while the TFX Power 2 comes in sizes of up to 300W, with the ability to power gaming PCs with performance-segment graphics cards. The TFX Power 2 300W flaunts 80 Plus Gold efficiency, and a dual-12V rail design; while the SFX Power 2 400W makes do with 80 Plus Bronze efficiency rating, and a dual-12V rail design.

Sharkoon expands its range of energy-efficient power supplies with their new WPM BRONZE series. The new series complies, with an efficiency of over 85 percent by 50 percent load as well as over 82 percent by 20 percent and 100 percent load, with the stringent requirements of the "80 PLUS BRONZE" certification.

The WPM BRONZE series also offers, in addition to its high efficiency, the latest ATX V2.3 standard. DeepCool announced a pair of mid-range PSUs for gaming PC builds, the 700W DA700, and the 500W DA500-M. The two boast of 80 Plus Bronze efficiency ratings, and partially modular flat ribbon cabling, in addition to double-layer EMI filters, modern PSU protections, and an energy efficient controller logic. Not just the detachable cables, but also the fixed ones - the 24-pin ATX, and 4+4 pin EPS connectors, feature flat cables. The two appear to be manufactured by CWT. The DA500-M features sufficient cabling for gaming PC builds with up to two mid-range graphics cards; while the DA700 has cabling for up to three. The company didn't reveal pricing.

SilverStone Releases New SFX Power Supply

SilverStone has introduced the ST30SF, a 300 W power supply with a SFX form factor that's suited for small form factor PCs. The PSU measures 125 (W) x 63.5 (H) x 100 (D) mm and features a non-modular design, an efficiency of up to 85% (it's 80 PLUS Bronze certified), Active PFC, a single 12V rail, a single 80 mm fan and a MTBF of 100,000 hours.

The ST30SF is available in the US for $54.99 and is listed on pre-order in Europe for €47.89.

Cooler Master launched the second generation GX series PSUs for value-conscious gaming PC builders. The lineup was first shown to the world at this year's Computex event, held in Taipei. Available in 450W, 550W, and 650W variants, these PSUs feature 80 Plus Bronze certification, single +12V rail design, all standard protection mechanisms, and a unique "always-on" USB header that puts out power even with the system shut down into ErP-compliant deep S5 sleep.
