TRYX CPU Coolers: Panorama SE is a Standout in AIO CLC Design, with a Curved Display

One of the standout products at Computex this year is the TRYX Panorama SE, an AIO liquid CPU cooler with an innovative 6.5-inch AMOLED curved display on the pump-block that wraps around the front- and side, with an eye-pleasing 1080p resolution. You're supposed to orient it in such a way that its side faces the front of your case, and hope that this portion of the display isn't obstructed by tall memory modules. Perhaps the latest crop of motherboards with DDR5 CAMM2 slots has the answer to this problem.

The curved display and its panoramic edge lets you create anamorphic illusion effects such as the ones you see in buildings with large curved displays. The cooler uses an HDMI connection to your graphics card, and can be made to display just about anything. The Panorama SE comes in 360 mm and 240 mm radiator sizes, and in white- and black trims. The display is embedded in its own L-shaped breakout module that floats over the pump-block. The actual pump-block is somewhat cylindrical, a small 60 mm fan ventilates the pump motor and the heat dissipation chamber.

Hands On with the Zotac ZONE Gaming Handheld, and Mini PC Shaped eGPU Box

Zotac took the plunge into the emerging market of Windows-based gaming handhelds that a lot of PC hardware brands are getting into off late. The device has a 7-inch 1080p AMOLED multi-touch display, but you can connect an external display using over DisplayPort. At the heart of the Zotac ZONE is the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U "Hawk Point" processor, with its Radeon 780M graphics. This chip is wired to 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7500, and a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD. The device features an M.2-2280 Gen 4 slot, so you are spoiled for choice with SSD upgrades.

The Zotac ZONE handheld console uses Windows 11 Home, but with its first-party One Launcher UI that organizes your games across DRM platforms, lets you configure input, tweak performance or battery life, and much more. The star attraction with this device's connectivity is its two USB4 type-C ports, one of which has DisplayPort passthrough), and PD 3.0. There's also a microSD UHS-II reader. A 4-pole 3.5 mm headset jack handles analog audio. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Powering it all is a 48.5 Wh battery. The device measures 310 mm x 135 mm x 40 mm, and is expected to weigh under 700 g.

ZOTAC ZONE Gaming Handheld Specs Leaked, AMD Ryzen 7 8840U Inside

ZOTAC, best known for its graphics cards and to some extent its Mini-PCs, is going to present a new handheld gaming device - ZOTAC ZONE. Videocardz somehow managed to get their hands on an almost complete spec sheet just to find out that it will be powered by an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor. From this we can also get to know that it will use Radeon 780M integrated graphics with 12 RDNA3 Compute Units (15 W Default, 28 W Max). ZOTAC ZONE will feature a 7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED, 1080p, 120 Hz display with up to 800 nits maximum brightness.

The device specs include 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, 512 GB dedicated storage and support for M2.2 2280 SSDs. The 48.5 Wh battery with an estimated 1.25 hours of runtime seems a bit weak, thus the lower 700 g weight, but that could change since the display/demo unit that will be available during Computex next week is a non-final prototype model. As confirmed by ZOTAC, ZONE is expected to be launched in the next quarter, with no details about the price.

Pair of Samsung Arm Powered Galaxy Book4 Edge Noteboks Leaks Ahead of Launch

Later today we're expecting to see several Arm based notebooks running Windows 11 being announced, at least based on launch event announcements by some of the manufacturers. Two upcoming Samsung models have leaked ahead of the product launches and it appears that Samsung will at least offer a pair of different models with either a 14-inch or a 16-inch display as the Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 and Galaxy Book4 Edge 16. The latter is also said to come in a Pro model. According to Winfuture, all three models will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon X processors, although the specific SKUs are currently unknown.

Both the 14-inch and 16-inch models are said to come with AMOLED displays with a 3K resolution, which is at least 2880 by something, but could be higher. The displays are said to have a brightness of up to 400 nits, but little else is known about the displays. Other known features include USB4 support—as it's part of the Qualcomm specs—and both sizes appear to feature two Type-C ports, plus a regular USB Type-A port of unknown speed and a micro SD card slot on the 16-inch models. There's also an HDMI port and a headset jack on both sizes of the Galaxy Book4 Edge. Winfuture claims the base model will start at around €1,800.

ASUS Introduces Zenfone 11 Ultra—a New Era of Smartphone Innovation

ASUS today announced the new Zenfone 11 Ultra during a dedicated online launch event. The company unveiled all the details about this mighty device, the latest iteration in the company's Zenfone flagship series, and showcased how it redefines expectations for powerful smartphones. Zenfone 11 Ultra marks an important switch to a larger form factor that provides more of everything, packing a better camera system, a stronger processor, and a bigger battery into a meticulously-designed chassis.

"With Zenfone 11 Ultra, ASUS provides users with premium design, a flagship camera, AI features, and a longer battery life," said ASUS Co-CEO S.Y. Hsu, speaking at the launch event. "In short, Zenfone 11 Ultra is everything a flagship phone in 2024 should be and it will provide the greatest benefit to the end user." Zenfone 11 Ultra is available in a choice of four refreshing colors, all inspired by different landscapes around the world, and ready to fit the user's style. Of course, ASUS also built the new Zenfone with sustainability in mind—incorporating recycled materials such as the 100% recycled aluminium used for its frame and an increased proportion of recyclable packaging.

Snapdragon X Elite-powered Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge to Compete with M3 MacBooks in Pricing

In what is a solid hint that Arm-based SoCs such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon X don't just intend to serve as cheaper alternatives to x86-based U-segment processors from Intel and AMD, but also compete in the high-end on virtue of their performance and battery life advantages; Samsung is designing a line of premium thin-and-light notebooks around the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor. Snapdragon X crams in the company's most advanced Arm CPU IP, and the latest generation Qualcomm Adreno iGPU; with Qualcomm claiming to offer 2x the CPU and graphics performance over x86 processors in its price-class, at 1/3rd the power (in other words, over 2x the battery life). It also packs a powerful NPU with 45 TOPS AI inferencing performance on tap. The Snapdragon X Elite is essentially Qualcomm's answer to the M3.

With the Snapdragon X Elite, Samsung has designed the new Galaxy Book 4 Edge, and WinFuture has some specs. Apparently the notebook comes in a 14-inch thin-and-light form-factor. The Snapdragon X Elite will be paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5/X memory, and 512 GB of NVMe-based SSD storage. Comms will include a 5G MODEM for connectivity anywhere; and possibly Wi-Fi 7 BE. Although we can't tell from the company images, it stands to reason that Samsung is using an AMOLED touchscreen display. WinFuture reports that Samsung plans to price the Galaxy Book 4 Edge at €1,759, which should put it in competition with several models of M3-powered MacBooks. The best part? The notebook is powered by Windows 11, and comes with a Microsoft-supplied translation layer for running legacy PC apps on it.

Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Series Powered by Next Gen Core, Arc and RTX 40-series Graphics

The full specifications of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Book 4 line of ultra portable notebooks, have been leaked to the web by Windows Report. The star attraction with these notebooks are the next-generation Intel Core processors (possibly "Meteor Lake"), combined with LPDDR4X, LPDDR5, or LPDDR5X memory, the company's latest NVMe SSD storage, and innovative new display panels. There are as many as 5 main models based on form-factor and market segment, and their sub-variants based on memory or storage sizes. The series begins simply with the Galaxy Book 4, with a conventional thickness body and 15.6-inch screen size. This notebook has a conventional IPS panel with anti-glare treatment, and Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. At the heart is a Core 5-120U processor that boosts up to 5.00 GHz, and has 12 MB of L3 cache. The notebook uses the iGPU of this processor, and combines it with 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory. There are two M.2 NVMe slots, one of which has a pre-installed 512 GB SSD. Comms include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

The Galaxy Book 4 360 is a step up, and is a convertible. This looks similar to the Galaxy Book 4, but with a screen hingle that turns it into a tablet. The 15.6-inch display now gets an AMOLED touchscreen with Full HD resolution. While the processor is the same Core 5-120U, the 8 GB of memory is faster LPDDR5. You still get two M.2 NVMe slots, one of which has a 256 GB SSD. The communications are a step up, too, with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Both the Galaxy Book 4 and Galaxy Book 4 360 should be priced around the $1,000-mark.

This easily movable and convenient monitor is expected to get a global release in the near future - various hardware news outlets have found related documentation on Viewsonic's global site, as well as standard drivers signed for Windows 10 & 11 - so it seems that the VX1622-K is not destined to be a China-exclusive model.
