ASUS Launches MicroATX Motherboards for Superior HTPC Performance

ASUS today announced a new range of microATX motherboards with onboard HDMI and DVI ports for Intel and AMD processors with integrated graphics, and USB 3.0 ports with performance-enhancing ASUS USB 3.0 Boost technology. By removing the need for a discrete graphics card, the new motherboards provide a more affordable option for home entertainment PCs that can fully exploit high-performance USB 3.0 storage.

The latest Intel 22nm CPUs feature Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics, while AMD Socket FM2Athlon and A-Series APUshave integrated AMD HD 7000 Series discrete-level Radeon GPUs.The processors provide excellent 2D and 3D graphics performance, without the need for a separate graphics card, which in turn results in lower PC build costs.

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) today reveals a full product line of Thin Mini-ITX motherboards, in three segments where low power consumption and a small footprint are desirable: enterprise, multimedia and consumer - to fulfill the different demands for AIO (All-in-one) and SFF (small form factor) applications.


Enterprise/Corporate Solutions: Q77H2-TI & B75H2-TI
For corporate and industrial use, the all solid capacitor ECS Q77H2-TI & B75H2-TI motherboards are based on the Intel 7-Series Chipset, which support 3rd generation Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5 and other Intel processors. Both of these platforms feature 2 x Mini PCIe x1 expansion slot, SATA 3.0/2.0/mSATA, 4x USB 3.0, 5x USB 2.0 along with support for digital signage.

MSI Unveils B75MA-G43 Motherboard

MSI expanded its entry-level socket LGA1155 motherboard lineup with the B75MA-G43, featuring Intel Small Business Advantage. The micro-ATX board is positioned to be a notch below the B75MA-G45. It features a simpler 5-phase CPU VRM. The CPU socket, which supports 32 nm "Sandy Bridge" and 22 nm "Ivy Bridge" processors, is wired to four DIMM slots, supporting up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory, and a PCI-Express 3.0 x16. Other expansion slots include a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (electrical x4, wired to PCH), and two legacy PCI.

Storage connectivity on the B75MA-G43 includes one SATA 6 Gb/s, and five SATA 3 Gb/s ports. The chipset gives out four USB 3.0 ports, two of which are given out by a standard header, and two at the rear panel. Display connectivity includes DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. 8-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, PS/2 combo, LPT and COM (by headers), and a number of USB 2.0/1.1 ports make for the rest of it. The B75MA-G43 is expected to be priced under $60.

Gigabyte Readies the GA-B75N Mini-ITX LGA1155 Motherboard

Gigabyte is currently preparing the release of a new mini-ITX motherboard, a model called GA-B75N which is powered by Intel's B75 Express chipset and supports LGA1155 socket processors. Seen below, the board has a black PCB, two DDR3-1600 memory slots, one SATA 6.0 Gbps and three 3.0 Gbps ports, one PCI-Express x16 slot, dual Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio, UEFI DualBIOS, two USB 3.0 ports, and one DVI and two HDMI outputs.

The GA-B75N can be found on pre-order priced as low as € 79.58.

Gigabyte Rolls Out B75M-D2V Motherboard

Gigabyte rolled out the B75M-D2V entry-level micro-ATX motherboard. Supporting Intel Core/Pentium/Celeron "Sandy Bridge" and "Ivy Bridge" processors in the LGA1155 package, the board is driven by Intel B75 Express chipset, featuring Intel Small Business Advantage. The board's feature-set barely goes beyond that of the B75 PCH. To begin with, the LGA1155 socket is powered by a 3+1+1 phase VRM, which draws power from a 4-pin CPU connector. The socket is wired to two DIMM slots supporting up to 16 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory, and a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. Two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots, wired to the PCH, make for the rest of the expansion.

In terms of connectivity, the B75M-D2V provides one SATA 6 Gb/s, and five SATA 3 Gb/s ports; four USB 3.0 ports (two on the rear panel, two by headers), DVI and D-Sub display outputs, 6-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, a number of USB 2.0/1.1 ports, and legacy PS/2 mouse/keyboard connectors. The board is driven by UEFI BIOS. Expect the B75M-D2V to be priced around US $60.

MSI Intros B75IA-E33 Mini-ITX Motherboard

MSI introduced the B75IA-E33, a socket LGA1155 motherboard in the mini-ITX form-factor, based on Intel's business-oriented B75 Express chipset. The board has sufficient connectivity for space-saving business PCs, featuring Intel Small Business Advantage. The board also bears the Windows 8 compatibility label. It draws power from conventional 24-pin ATX and 4-pin CPU power connectors. The LGA1155 socket is powered by a 4-phase VRM. It is wired to two DIMM slots, supporting up to 16 GB of dual-channel DDR3-1600 MHz memory; and a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot.

The Intel B75 PCH gives out one SATA 6 Gb/s, and three SATA 3 Gb/s internal ports on the B75IA-E33. Display connectivity includes DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. Other connectivity options include 6-channel HD audio with 7.1-channel optical SPDIF (TOSLINK) output, four USB 3.0 ports (two the rear panel, two by headers), gigabit Ethernet, a number of USB 2.0 ports, and mouse/keyboard combo PS/2 port. The board is driven by UEFI firmware. MSI did not give out pricing information.

New ECS B75 Series PC Motherboards are Perfect for Home and Business

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) has announced a new series of motherboards - B75 Series. These three new PC motherboards based around Intel's B75 Express chipset support for the latest CPU technology: Intel Small Business advantage, as well as compatibility with older products and a future upgrade path. They offer an impressive range of features for home and business use, including SATA 3.0 hard drive connection at up to 6Gb/s, USB 3.0 for high speed external data transfer, plus PCI Express 3.0 and DirectX 11 for advanced graphics.

There are three motherboards in the ECS B75 series: the B75H2-D, the B75H2-M2, and the B75H2-M3. The B75H2-M2 and the B75H2-M3 are compact 244mm x 200mm Micro ATX format boards, while the B75H2-D is a DTX format board.

It looks like Sapphire wants slices of not just the performance and enthusiast pies, but also the high-volume mainstream one. Its latest creation is a motherboard based on Intel's small business-oriented B75 chipset, the Pure White B75M-MA. Built in the micro-ATX form-factor, this board doesn't add too much over the B75's feature set. To begin with, its LGA1155 socket, which supports current generation Core "Ivy Bridge" and previous generation Core "Sandy Bridge" processors, is powered by a 4+1 phase VRM, which draws power from an 8-pin EPS connector. That's a giveaway that a performance/enthusiast design team was behind this mainstream motherboard.

The LGA1155 socket is wired to two DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting up to 16 GB of dual-channel DDR3 memory; and a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. Three PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots that are wired to the B75 PCH, make up the rest of the all-PCIe layout. Storage connectivity includes one SATA 6 Gb/s, and three SATA 3 Gb/s ports. The board provides a total of four USB 3.0 ports (two on the rear-panel, two via headers). 6+2 channel HD audio, a number of USB 2.0 ports, a keyboard/mouse combo PS/2, and gigabit Ethernet make for the rest of the connectivity. Display outputs include DVI and D-Sub. Expect competitive pricing.

The LGA1155 CPU is powered by a simple 5-phase VRM, it is wired to just two DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting dual-channel DDR3 memory.

Expansion slots include one PCI-Express 3.0 x16, two PCI-Express 2.0 x1, and one legacy PCI. Storage connectivity includes two SATA 6 Gb/s, and four SATA 3 Gb/s, all internal. The 6 Gb/s ports are angled. Display connectivity includes one each of DVI and D-Sub. There are four USB 3.0 ports, two on the rear-panel, two via front-panel header, all wired to the PCH. 6-channel HD audio, gigabit Ethernet, Parallel/LPT, and PS/2 combo connector top it all off. Expect the GA-B75M-D3V to be hovering around the $100 mark.
