Corsair HXi Series Power Supplies Gone Hands-on

Corsair's plans to get the Corsair Link in the hands of as many enthusiasts as possible, are spearheaded by the HXi line of fully-modular PSUs. These are not just the old CWT-built HX series units retrofitted with Link support; but feature entirely new innards, which explain how they boast of 80 Plus Platinum rating. The units come in three variants, the HX750i, the HX850i, and the HX1000i. The 750W HX750i has enough juice for most dual GPU builds; the HX850i could let you squeeze in a third GPU, while the HX1000i might let you drop in a fourth one; although with vampires such as the R9 290 series and GTX TITAN Black on the prowl, we'd pick HX750i and HX850i for no more than two high-end cards, and the HX1000i for no more than three.

Corsair HG10 VGA Liquid Cooling Adapter Spotted Working

Corsair's response to NZXT Kraken G10, the HG10 is an adapter that allows you to install Hydro series all-in-one CPU liquid coolers onto your GPU. We spotted a working demo at the company's suite, where it was shown taming a feisty Radeon R9 290X. Something tells us this accessory, will sell well, given that you're genuinely rewarded with extra performance for replacing your reference R9 290 and R9 290X cooling solution, with a better one. The R9 290X features a 95°C throttle, which the reference cooler is less than successful in keep the GPU away from. The HG10 is designed to work on most popular high-end graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA.

Corsair Dominator Platinum and Value Select DDR4 Modules Pictured

Corsair's Dominator line of enthusiast memory module finally gets fresh blood with the introduction of the DDR4 specification. The company showed off the first Dominator Platinum DDR4 memory module. This particular one is prepped to run at DDR4-2400 MHz speeds. Right next to it, is the Value Select DDR4, Corsair's entry-level module. The company didn't reveal its clock speeds, but given that DDR4 starts at 2133 MHz, that's likely what this module runs at. What sets the Value Select apart from the Dominator Platinum, is probably not just a tiny 267 MHz clock speed difference; but timings. The Dominator Platinum will run at far tighter timings.

SilverStone Temjin TJ12 Monstrosity Detailed

SilverStone Temjin TJ12 was the elephant in the room at its Computex booth. This jumbo cubical case is huge - perhaps bigger than Lian Li PC-D600. Unlike the PC-D600, and Corsair's smaller Carbide Air 540, the TJ12 isn't a vertically-partitioned two-compartment case. Its motherboard tray (supports ATX, E-ATX, XL-ATX, and HPTX) is oriented along the plane of its front panel, with rear-I/O facing upwards. Add-on cards can easily be as long and tall as they make them. At the bottom of the case, are four large fans, with a mesh, onto which you can latch on radiators of all shapes and sizes. The drive cage and PSU bay are suspended along a sloping panel, in a way that they don't obstruct anything near the motherboard tray. The actual "front-panel" is located at the top. So the TJ12 is essentially a case you put on your floor. and access its goods from the top.

Cooler Master Designs PSU that Talks Directly with Your Smartphone

In a bid to take on Corsair's AXi and HXi line of PSUs that can interface with your PC over USB, letting you monitor and manage some of their specs over Corsair Link software, Cooler Master is giving final touches to its own line of high-end smart PSUs, beginning with the Digital 1200. Cooler Master's unique selling point here is Bluetooth direct access. The PSU is outfitted with a WLAN module of its own, letting your smartphone or tablet access it over Bluetooth. Cooler Master will have PSU monitoring and configuration apps on Google Play and the App Store. The app lets you monitor power consumption, efficiency, and temperatures, and tweak PSU fan speeds on the fly. The Digital 1200, as its name suggests, is a 1200-Watt PSU that boasts of 80 Plus Titanium efficiency. It features fully modular cabling, with enough wiring to drive gaming PC builds with 2 to 3 graphics cards in multi-GPU configurations. This PSU's most obvious advantage over Corsair Link, is its lack of dependency on your OS, and stability of your system.
