Seasonic Launches New FOCUS GX (2024) PSU Series With OptiSink Design

Having received much positive feedback from partners and visitors during its first announcement at Computex 2024, Sea Sonic is proud to launch the new Seasonic FOCUS GX (2024) Series. In the footsteps of the popular FOCUS Series power supplies, this new iteration introduces innovative features that aspire to follow the legacy and position the FOCUS GX (2024) at the new Center of Attention.

Introducing a Technological Milestone: OptiSink
The FOCUS GX (2024) was redesigned with a brand new PCB layout and is produced during a new manufacturing process involving automated surface mount technology. Improved design also includes the use of smaller MOSFETs and heat sink components, which increases the internal space within the PSU to promote better airflow. All these enhancements not only improve the overall quality of the FOCUS GX (2024) Series, but also make it more efficient and more reliability in the long run.

GameMax Launches GX-1050 PRO BK/WH ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 Power Supply Units

GameMax, an emerging brand of PC gaming components including gaming cases and power supply units, announces the launch of the GX-1050 PRO BK and GX-1050 PRO WH 80 Plus Platinum power supply units, compliant with the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards and comes with a native 16-pin 12V-2x6 connectors. The power supply features a powerful 12 V rail designed for high-performance gaming systems supporting the latest high-end NVIDIA RTX graphics cards.

The GameMax GX-1050 PRO WH is the white edition that comes with matching flat white cables. On the other hand, the GameMax GX-1050 PRO BK is the standard black version with flat black cables. The GX PRO WH/BK's modular cable design create neat and clutter-free cable management having only the necessary cables installed.

Xilence Brings Clear Acrylic RGB Fans and Pillarless Cases to Computex 2024

Partly like it's 2012 with clear acrylic RGB LED fans from Xilence. The new Xilence Gaming series 120 mm ARGB fans shed the trend of using frosted plastic to diffuse LED lighting, in favor of clear acrylic for both the impeller and the bore of the fan frame. The LEDs are studded along the bore, and not the impeller hub. You get modern FDB bearings, 4-pin PWM for the main function, and 3-pin ARGB for the lighting. The company also showed us their cable-free daisy-chaining fan series meant for radiator. A single cable powers one of the fans, and daisy-chaining contacts power the others in the series.

Next up, is the Xilence LiQuRizer, a line of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, which feature a round (typical Asetek) pump-block, with an infinite reflection ornament on top, which shows off the Xilence logo. This logo can be rotated to get the orientation right. Besides ARGB lighting in this pump-block ornament, the included fans have hub-based ARGB. The series comes in 360 mm and 240 mm models. Xilence also showed off a premium variant of the LiQuRizer with an LED segment display that puts out temperature, pump, and fan-speed readings from ACPI (it connects to the motherboard a USB 2.0 header and talks to a software that can access ACPI).

FSP at Computex 2024: Advan/Vita PSUs, Workstation/Gaming Cases, and AIO Coolers

At Computex 2024, FSP had a powerful presence with the unveiling of its new VITA, ADVAN, and MEGA series PSUs. The VITA 850 W and 1000 W series targets budget-conscious builds, offering efficiency ratings from bronze to gold. These PSUs feature premium bulk capacitors, ensuring reliability and longevity, and some models include silent fans for quiet operation without sacrificing cooling performance. The ADVAN series is tailored for gamers and professionals who seek a balance of performance and affordability. Available in Bronze, Gold, and Platinum efficiency ratings, these PSUs cater to mainstream gaming rigs and workstations. Notable features include a semi-fanless design for quiet operation at low loads, sleek black cables for efficient cable management, and multiple voltage protection safeguards.

DeepCool Readying Assassin IV Premium CPU Air Cooler For Launch

DeepCool debuted its Assassin IV Dual Tower CPU cooler earlier this year at the CES 2023 trade show - as covered by TPU at the time - its very eye-catching design was described as looking: "like (a) big dark cube inside your case, with a shroud covering all its sheet-metal." The flagship high-performance CPU cooler seems to ready for an imminent launch, with press material and product images being released today for the Chinese market. Early impressions indicate that hardware enthusiasts are appreciative of the almost all-black monolithic aesthetic, with some folks predicting that DeepCool is going to win computer hardware product design awards.

DeepCool press material states (via translation) that its Assassin IV CPU cooler provides super silent operation while dealing with up to 280 W of heat - Intel's latest high-end Core i9 CPUs could be tamed with relative ease. The heatsink is comprised of 7 heat pipes with a dual fan attachment that includes 120 and 140 mm FDB fans - said to operate silently at high RPMs. The fans are rated at 500 - 1700 RPM, with an airflow delivery of 79.1 / 58.06 CFM in performance mode, and 63.76 / 46.75 CFM airflow for the gentler quiet mode. Deepcool's specifications indicate that these cooling fans produce less than or equal to 29.3 dB(A) noise at peak performance, and less than or equal to 22.6 dB(A) noise in quiet mode. The entire cooling solution consumes 2.88 W in performance mode.
