NEC Enhances 27-inch and 30-inch MultiSync EA Monitors with IPS Panels

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, today announced the new MultiSync EA305WMi and EA275WMi, 30-inch and 27-inch displays. Designed for dual monitor configurations, these widescreen models feature IPS panel technology with wide viewing angles (178° horizontal/vertical), DisplayPort 1.2 inputs and outputs, and the NEC-exclusive ControlSync technology.

ControlSync technology allows users to control up to six displays in a multi-monitor configuration. Upon establishing one unit as the master, users are able to control most settings of the multi-monitor setup in unison through the primary monitor. "The new EA305WMi and EA275WMi displays give business professionals new, powerful tools, especially when using multiple monitors," said Art Marshall, Senior Product Manager for Desktop Displays at NEC Display Solutions. "The displays also include NEC's leading environmental and productivity features, as well as NEC-exclusive ControlSync and human sensors."

Acer Intros Blazing Fast Predator XB271HU Display

Acer bolstered its high-end gaming monitor lineup with the new Predator XB271HU. This 27-inch gaming-grade monitor boasts of a refresh-rate as high as 165 Hz, and is bolstered by NVIDIA G-SYNC. Featuring a near frame-less design, which its makers refer to as "Zero Frame Design," and a feature-rich red+black stand that allows height, tilt, swivel, and rotation; the XB271HU offers an IPS display panel with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 4 ms response time, and 350 cd/m² maximum brightness. Acer also introduced the XB271HK, which is essentially an XB271HU with a 4K Ultra HD IPS panel that does 60 Hz, instead of the blistering 165 Hz WQHD panel. This panel offers 4 ms response time, 300 cd/m² maximum brightness. Both displays feature G-SYNC adaptive-sync tech, and take input from DisplayPort 1.2 connectors. The XB271HU is priced at $799, and the XB271HK at $899.

NEC Display Introduces Latest Feature-Rich Monitor to MultiSync E-series

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, today announced the MultiSync E203Wi-BK wide-screen desktop monitor with LED backlighting. AOC Unveils U3277PQU and Q3277PQU 32-inch Monitors

AOC unveiled the U3277PQU and the Q3277PQU 32-inch monitors. Both models look identical, but differ with resolutions. The U3277PQU offers 4K Ultra (3840 x 2160 pixels), whereas the Q3277PQU offers WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels). The Q3277PQU features an AMVA display panel, with 178°/178° viewing angles, 4 ms (GTG) response time, 300 cd/m² maximum brightness, dynamic mega-contrast ratio, 30-bit color (1.07 billion colors), and inputs that include dual-link DVI, DisplayPort 1.2, and HDMI 1.4 with MHL support.

The U3277PQU, on the other hand, features an IPS display panel, with 178°/178° viewing angles, 30-bit color (1.07 billion colors), 4 ms (GTG) response time, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio. Display inputs include HDMI with MHL support (30 Hz), and DisplayPort 1.2 (needed for 60 Hz). Both models are backed by 3-year warranties. The U3277PQU is expected to be priced around US $800, and the Q3277PQU around $500.

AOC Intros Q2577PWQ 25-inch WQHD Monitor

AOC rolled out the Q2577PWQ, a 25-inch monitor offering WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) native resolution. The monitor features an IPS LCD panel with LED illumination, which uses a non-PWM method for adjusting brightness (and is hence flicker-free). Other key specs include 5 ms response time, 178°/178° viewing angles, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio. Display inputs include DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, and D-Sub. In-built 2W stereo speakers, a 4-port USB hub, with two USB 3.0 downstream ports (one of which is a high-current port) and two USB 2.0 ports; and a maximum power consumption figure of 55W, round off the package. Its stand allows for height, tilt, and 90° rotation to portrait mode. AOC didn't announce price, although availability is slated for August 2015.

Philips Intros BDM3275UP 32-inch 4K Ultra HD Monitor

Philips introduced the BDM3275UP 32-inch monitor, offering 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution. It embeds an IPS-AHVA panel, with 178°/178° viewing angles, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, dynamic mega-contrast ratio, and 30-bit color (1.07 billion colors). The display takes input from HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, and dual-link DVI. A headphones output (putting out audio from the HDMI/DP audio channels), and a 4-port USB 3.0 hub make for the rest of its feature-set. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability.

LG Announces 27-inch 4K Ultra HD IPS Monitor with AMD FreeSync Support

LG Electronics will help gamers take their experience to a new level with the new LG 4K ULTRA HD monitor (model 27MU67) which will be available for the first time in the United States later this month. The 27-inch class monitor (26.3-inches diagonally), which is specifically designed to provide a premium gaming experience, boasts a large viewing area and a 3840 x 2160 screen resolution for an eye-popping level of 4K visual detail.

Aorus Unveils Two Gaming Notebooks with G-Sync

Aorus showed off its first notebooks featuring NVIDIA G-Sync technology, the 17-inch X7 Pro-Sync, and the 15-inch X5. The X7 Pro-Sync features a 17.3-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and G-Sync support, wired to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M SLI graphics. You also get a Core i7-4870HQ quad-core processor, 8 GB of RAM a gaming-grade keyboard with scissor-type switches, and up to three 512 GB SSDs in a RAID configuration of your choice.

The new X5 is what Aorus is claiming to be the world's most powerful 15-inch class notebook. It offers a 15.6-inch WQHD+ display (2880 x 1620 pixels resolution), wired to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M SLI graphics, with 2x 4GB video memory; a Core i7-5700HQ "Broadwell" CPU, 8 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of M.2 32 Gb/s SSD storage, with two additional 2.5-inch SATA SSDs; and Killer DoubleShot networking. The case is surprisingly compact for its chops - measuring 390 (W) x 272 (D) x 22.9 (H) mm.

Display inputs include dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, and MHL (mobile high-definition link). It also features two independent USB hubs, a 2-port USB 2.0 hub, and a 2-port USB 3.0 hub with high-current "fast-charger," in addition to stereo audio input for a headphones jack. Its stand offers height, tilt, and rotate adjustments; the monitor supports standard VESA wall mounts. Available in Denmark, the BDM3470UP is priced at 7,949 DKK (US $1,208), including taxes.
