Strictly Quantum: EK Shows New Velocity2 CPU Blocks, Lignum GPU Block, Real Gold Fittings and More!

EK Water Blocks, or simply EK as the company refers to itself now, had a decent showing at the virtual Computex 2021 event including new AIO CPU coolers, additions to its Fluid Gaming and Fluid Works portfolio, and more water blocks based on current designs and supporting newer hardware, including one we reported on just a few hours ago. These all interested me, but then there was a nearly two hour private conversation followed by a live stream that ended minutes ago which shed more light on future updates and products in its mainstream Quantum DIY liquid cooling lineup.

There were renders of the upcoming Velocity² CPU blocks shared before, but seeing them actually manufactured is a whole other thing. Velocity² is the update to EK's popular Velocity CPU blocks, with a complete redesign that evokes more comparisons to monoblocks than other CPU blocks. Taking cues from the flagship EK-Quantum Magnitude, you will see different cooling engines to better cool different CPU sockets. There is also a concealed aesthetic theme here, especially for the acetal top version where you can't see any screws in use, thanks to a patent-pending mounting mechanism from the back- again taking cues from monoblocks. EK says the new system uses "pre-tensioned springs concealed in the water block top, so with just a few turns on the thumb-nuts, the installation is finished". We look forward to checking these out in person when they release in the Sept 2021 timeframe. Read past the break for more from EK!

Lian Li Shows Off PC Cases, LED Lighting Focus at CES 2018

Lian li at CES 2018 took to the stage (or should we say, room) to showcase some of their case designs' possibilities. The 011 Dynamic, for example, is an interesting behemoth of a case with its 450 x 273 x 460 mm dimensions. The aluminum, SECC, and tempered glass panel make sure this is a sturdy, Lian-Li-worthy case, and there's no lack of storage and fan capacity in this one: a total of 9x 120 mm and 2x 140 mm fans can be mounted on the chassis alone, and there's still space to spare for 3x 3.5" and 5x 2.5" SSD bays. The very elaborate cooling system and the overall case design were handpicked by Lian-Li in a collaboration with overclocking prodigy Der8auer, and make for an impressive showing.

Lian Li Launches the PC-O12 WX Mid-Tower Case

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd launches the PC-O12, a compact mid-tower chassis that combines sleek tempered glass panels with strong, but lightweight, steel and aluminum. This new addition to Lian Li's latest generation O-series chassis range offers unsurpassed style, plus slim design with ample space for a powerful but compact PC build. Thanks to its unique design, it offers space for two vertically placed graphics cards in a separate compartment for gorgeous PC builds.

Lian Li Announces the PC-T70 Open-Bench Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is eager to announce the PC-T70 test bench. After productive collaboration, taking feedback from high-end PC hardware reviewers, Lian Li sought to create a test bench that could both provide unhindered access for enthusiasts who want to rapidly swap hardware, and those who like to use their test benches as a workstation. Lian Li's latest test bench is its most flexible yet - a sleek, minimal platform for easy hardware swapping, with an optional kit that encloses the bench with radiator mounts and an acrylic cover.

"Testing on an open bench requires careful planning, else it leads to misguided results. Most gamers have closed cases, affecting thermal, acoustic, and even performance results compared to exposed hardware. I'm working to represent that more accurately. While my measurements are easier to collect, more applicable, and completely objective, it was the close cooperation with Lian Li that helped move this project forward. The closed case gave me the platform I've been needing, and that readers have been asking for, to facilitate more realistic reviews." - Igor Wallossek - Senior Contributing Editor Tom's Hardware.

Lian Li ROG-Certified PC-O11WGX Now with Accessory Bundle and PCIe Riser

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is proud to announce the PC-O11WGX, certified by Asus Republic of Gamers and updated with USB 3.1 Type-C connector on the front panel. The new PC-O11WGX also comes with the popular O11-1 accessory kit with PCI-E riser cable for vertical graphics card mounting in the box! Furthermore, the front panel features exquisite ROG silk screen detailing and improved liquid cooling compatibility.

The ROG branded PC-O11WGX has been built with feedback from Lian Li PC-O11 users. This is evident by optimized layout for disks on the rear of the chassis, it can fit three 2.5" drives. This puts more focus on liquid cooling and with space for three 360mm radiators for liquid cooling (or three 120mm fans) there is enough capacity for any thermal challenge inside the PC-O11WGX.

Lian-Li's PC-O11 Dual-Chambered Case Now Available

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd launches the PC-O11: the largest among the latest generation O-series chassis. This case preserves the proportions of a tower rather than cube chassis while managing a dual-chambered layout and fitting conventional ATX PSUs. Unlike its little brother, the PC-O10, this new chassis accommodates several 360mm water cooling radiators in a gorgeous, spacious tempered-glass interior: the PC-O11 is the ultimate glass showcase for top-of-the-line enthusiast builds.

Lian-Li Showcases Numerous New Products at CES 2017

At CES 2017, Lian-Li showcased their latest, upcoming additions to their product lines: from a standing desk to numerous computer cases and an external RAID enclosure, there was something for every taste.

First, Lian Li's latest addition to their standing desk line of products: dubbed the DK-05, this standing desk allows the user to install two different systems (supporting E-ATX motherboards) at the same time, something that its predecessor was unable to do. Lian Li suggests that the chassis could house both a file server and a gaming computer, all within a rather striking exterior of tempered glass and brushed aluminum. The desk features a motorized height adjustment, with knobs on a small control panel on the right side of the desk that control both the height adjustment and the speed of the desk's 12 fans (six for intake, and six for exhaust duty). It also supports triple-slot radiators for augmented cooling capabilities.

Lian-Li Releases the PC-O10 Dual-Compartment Mid Tower

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is eager to announce its next O-series case: the PC-O10 dual-compartment chassis. Like the PC-O9, this case is divided into two chambers for easy organization - users can create immaculate, picturesque builds without spending hours planning cable management. By adopting the SFX/SFX-L PSU form factor, the PC-O10 has a much slimmer profile compared to the PC-O9 and PC-O8. Lian Li cut the proportions to match that of a conventional tower, while maintaining the attractive and functional half glass, half aluminum design. With power efficiency ever on the rise, and an increasing number of high-wattage SFX-L PSUs available, enthusiasts no longer need to encumber their cases with bulky traditional ATX PSUs.

In spite of its leaner dimensions, the PC-O10 still fits E-ATX and Full ATX as well as microATX motherboards. With seven expansion slots, it supports multi-GPU setups with VGA cards as large as 340mm: plenty of room for even the best gaming builds. It accommodates CPU coolers as tall as 130mm. The PSU compartment can store up to four 3.5" and two 2.5" drives, with space in the main glass compartment for an additional 2.5" SSD. The dual-compartment layout puts attractive components in the limelight, while keeping cables, drives, and other less desirable parts out of sight.

Lian Li Updates O-Series Cases with New White Color Options

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is thrilled to announce the PC-O5SW, PC-O7SW and PC-O8WBW: stunning white colors for stunning chassis. Lian Li's O-series cases are emblematic of its dedication to premium materials and exceptional engineering. After a rough winter worldwide last year, Lian Li chose a new snowy white theme in hopes of an auspicious, less extreme winter season in 2016.

The O-series is a perfect chassis for displaying high-end hardware. Both the PC-O5SW and PC-O7SW feature a full tempered glass panel for an unfettered view of gleaming builds. VGA cards are mounted vertically, parallel to the motherboard, using an included riser cable. Both chassis have four expansion slots and support SLI and Crossfire setups. They can be mounted directly on walls, placed on a desk with a vertical stand, or laid horizontally on four removable rubber feet.

Lian Li PC-V3000 Prototype Chassis Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures of Lian Li PC-V3000, the company's upcoming flagship chassis. Characterized by Lian Li's favorite material, aluminium, the case features the company's signature design language, with dark, brushed-aluminium exteriors, and silvery aluminium interiors. The company released pictures of a prototype case, with a final release out later this year. Keeping up with the times (i.e. horizontal partition), the PC-V3000 features a vast twin-compartment layout, only that the motherboard layout is inverted (opens out at the right side, with the motherboard being positioned BTX-style).

The Lian Li PC-V3000 has room for ATX and E-ATX motherboards, with room for graphics cards with lengths in the neighborhood of 40 cm, and coolers with heights around 20 cm. The bottom compartment is further partitioned vertically, with the left-side compartment housing the PSU bay and a 3x 3.5-inch drive-cage; while the right-side compartment either serves up room for your liquid cooling gear (such as a 420 mm x 140 mm radiator), or additional 2.5-inch drives. The motherboard tray has three drive mounts on its reverse side. Cooling includes 3x 140 mm side intake, 120 mm rear exhaust, and 3x 120 mm top exhausts.

Lian-Li Announces the DK-12 and DK-16 Motorized Workstation Desks

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is excited to launch its DK-12 and DK-16 motorized standing desks. Following the success of the DK-04 and earlier computer desk chassis, Lian Li adds a pair of more conventional standing desks to its repertoire. The DK-12 and DK-16 provide health-conscious users a stylish workspace designed with PC workstations in mind. Who better to make a desk for a PC than a case maker.

It is true that people sit for most of their day, increasing the risk of diabetes and heart disease. With manifold health benefits discovered by prevailing studies these past few years, standing desks are a vogue choice for employers and office workers seeking to improve their habits and lifestyle. Many vaunt standing desks not only for health benefits, but even boosting productivity. With everything to gain and nothing to lose, why not start standing.

Lian-Li Announces PE Series SFX-L PSUs

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is pleased to announce its two high-wattage SFX-L PSUs: the PE-550 and PE-750. These fully modular, small form factor power supplies are excellent choices for small form factor builds using powerful, high-end hardware. The most general trend in electronics is miniaturization: the smaller the better. This is reflected in nearly every facet of PC hardware and cases are no different. Small form factor, mini-ITX cases are popular and for a reason; if one can have a smaller footprint without compromising performance, why not? The PE-550 and PE-750 provide 550W and 750W respectively - more than enough to drive even multi-GPU gaming PCs.

A Yacht-shaped Case from Lian-Li This Computex

Lian Li has a tradition of launching at least one off-beat, entirely unexpected case each year at Computex, to show off its design prowess. This year's offering is the PC-Y6. Available in white (PC-Y6W) and black (PC-Y6B), this yacht-shaped case made of aluminium and tempered glass, has a more boutique (less practical) design for its volume.

It measures 764 mm x 293 mm x 259 mm (WxHxD), and takes up as much space as a mid-tower. What it can enclose, though, is a mini-ITX motherboard, a video card as long as 30 cm, a CPU cooler as tall as 6 cm, a standard ATX PSU, and two each of 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives. There just the one 120 mm front fan mount. The rest of it is mostly open-air. This case could make for an interesting and functional prop in the luxury suite of an actual cruise ship, or a yacht.

Lian-Li Shows Off Two New High-Wattage SFX-L PSUs

Lian Li is nurturing the SFX-L form-factor of power supplies, with two new [relatively] high-Wattage PSUs. These include the 750W PE-750, and the 550W PE-550. These PSUs feature fully modular cabling, minimizing the cable clutter in your compact case, and boast of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, APFC, and most common electrical protections. The PE-750 has enough cabling for a dual graphics card build, while the PE-550 has cabling for a single graphics card build with a high-end GPU. Both PSUs use 120 mm fans that spin only beyond a load/temperature threshold.

Lian Li Unveiling New Desk, PC-O10 and New Armorsuit Chassis at Computex

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd would like to extend an invitation to all interested parties to visit its booth at Computex 2016! It will display a number of new cases, including the recently announced PC-O9 and Ebonsteel series. On top of revealing the next O-series PC-O10 and long-awaited update to the Armorsuit line, Lian Li will also put the spotlight on its computer desk chassis, showcasing the DK-04 standing desk, and unveiling an all-new model.

Visitors to the booth can see the DK-04 standing computer desk chassis: an elegant, aluminum computer chassis that doubles as a standing desk for work, or a sitting desk for play. Plus, Lian Li will have a yet-unannounced, all-new DK-series desk chassis in tow. Come take a seat at the desks and try them on for size. Several years ago Lian Li unleashed the Armorsuit line: the no-holds-barred series of aluminum super tower cases with thick panels and massive component clearances. Between large form factor motherboards, robust air and water cooling schemes, multiple-VGA card builds, and elaborate RAID storage arrays - pretty much anything could be built into these cases. Nearly eight years later, Lian Li is thrilled to reveal the next Armorsuit chassis. Get ready to rumble.

Lian Li Announces New Ebonsteel Series Cases

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd announces the Ebonsteel Series - a new line of steel cases to offer customers affordable new options with exceptional value. Three new chassis comprise this all-new case line: the PC-K5, PC-K6, and PC-K6S. All three mid tower cases are good choices for gamers on a budget; they offer competitive air and water cooling support, full ATX builds, and convenient building features.

Lian Li has been known for its signature brushed aluminum aesthetic for decades. For many years, a number of customers have requested more affordable alternatives. The Ebonsteel series is intended to provide this option for those who seek the best value in PC cases. While these chassis are built with steel rather than aluminum, they are still very much Lian Li cases - tool-less building features, grommeted panel cutouts for cable management, vibration-dampened PSU mounts and drive cages, removable mesh filters on fan mounts - they include many of the bells and whistles of a typical Lian Li case.
