NVIDIA is commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Half-Life 2, releasing a tribute video that includes an exclusive peek at the upcoming Half-Life 2 RTX remaster. In addition, NVIDIA has launched the Half-Life 2 Anniversary Sweepstakes with a custom wrapped Half-Life 2 GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER graphics card.

With November 16th marking the 20th anniversary of the launch of Half-Life 2, NVIDIA released a tribute video that includes an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming Half-Life 2 RTX remaster. Developed by Orbifold Studios, a collective of developers who love Half-Life and were behind Half-Life 2: VR, Half-Life 2: Remade Assets, Project 17, and Rising the Bar: Redux, Half-Life 2 RTX is a community-made RTX Remix Project that will include full ray tracing, DLSS 3, and Reflex support.

In case you missed it, the iconic FPS that started it all, DOOM, just turned 30. NVIDIA is celebrating this piece of gaming history with the DOOM 30th Anniversary Sweepstakes. NVIDIA is celebrating a milestone of its own, with RTX 500—that's 500 games and counting that are part of the NVIDIA RTX ecosystem that includes RTX ray tracing, DLSS, Reflex, and other major innovations by NVIDIA in the PC gaming space. To participate in the DOOM 30 Sweepstakes, all you need to do is reply to NVIDIA's post on X (formerly Twitter), with the hashtags #DOOM30 and #RTX500, to enter. Summer is getting known more by the amount of game sales than by days spending creating a sunny side up on your skin. After GOG's Summer Sale and Steam's Summer Sale (which is still going strong until July 5th, to the woe of many households), Microsoft has just announced the "Ultimate Game Sale", which is striving to be the game sale to end all others.

Microsoft's sale isn't restricted to a single marketplace, encompassing all platforms where Microsoft does gaming business: Windows Store, Xbox Store, and Windows store. This sale also encompasses hardware, so if you're looking for some, this might be your chance. You'll have to wait for June 30th to get a look at the deals (the sale starts on June 30th and goes on through until July 10th), but you should temper expectations. Microsoft says games on this sale will be available for up to 50% off, which while welcome, isn't that much of a steep discount as it is. If that makes you twitch your face in discontent, you might want to take a selfie, so you can participate on Microsoft's "Ultimate Game Face Sweepstakes".
