When we first had a glance of the CORSAIR Hydro X custom watercooling loop parts in action, we suspected they might have a CES debut. CES has come and gone since, with no word of the company's entry into this field. Their direct competitors, including Phanteks and Thermaltake, have since added to their respective product portfolios comprising fans, water blocks, coolants and radiators. Perhaps CORSAIR wanted the launch to not be overshadowed by the other product launches at the recent trade show, and perhaps the listings of the Hydro X products on Digitech.ch is a sign of things to come sooner than later. Corsair is readying mostly-white variants of its LL120 RGB case fans. A variant of the LL120 from 2017, the LL120 RGB White features an all-white frame with contrasting black frame rubber inserts, a white silicone diffuser along the bore of the frame with 16 addressable RGB LEDs, a pearl-white finish impeller, and a contrasting black impeller hub sticker. The fan takes in 4-pin PWM input to do its job, and a 3-pin addressable RGB input for its lighting. It spins at speeds of up to 2,200 RPM, pushing up to 63 CFM of air, at a noise output of up to 36 dBA. It has a rated lifespan of 40,000 hours. Corsair is selling the LL120 RGB White in individual packs, and 3-fan packs with an added iCUE RGB LED controller. The two go on sale on the 15th of February.

Set seven months after a deadly virus was released in New York City, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 raises the stakes for players by launching them into a fractured and collapsing Washington D.C. - built as a one-to-one recreation of the city. In the wake of the virus, storms, flooding and subsequent chaos have radically transformed the city. From flooded urban areas to ravaged historic sites and landmarks, players will plunge into a dynamic open world with a wide variety of environments and biomes. Capellix is an innovation new RGB LED design by Corsair, which has significantly reduced size, power-draw, while offering increased brightness and durability, compared to conventional SMD LEDs. You can read all about these in our older article. The first product to implement Capellix is Corsair's upcoming flagship memory series, the 2019 Dominator Platinum RGB. These modules each feature 12 individually addressable Capellix aRGB LEDs, which take up significantly lower PCB real-estate than SMD LEDs on older generations of Corsair memory modules.

A silicone diffuser puts out light from these diodes through slits along the sides and top of the modules. The LEDs are fully compatible with Corsair iCUE software, in addition to pretty much any addressable-RGB software. The modules themselves feature hand-binned DRAM chips, cooled by die-cast, micro-arc oxidized anodized aluminium heatspreaders. The first of these could be out in February 2019.

Why is it that each time something leaks from CORSAIR, it is from one of their resellers? This time, it was France-based LDLC who decided to show off an entire system filled with parts from CORSAIR's upcoming Hydro X business unit at Paris Games Week recently. This is our first look at CORSAIR's entry to custom watercooling, which was teased a couple of months ago, and looks like the inevitable launch will be sooner rather than later.
