As always, the first test is how the memory performs at a frequency of 200 MHz, with standard voltage of 1.8V. The second test is at 200 MHz FSB, but with 400 MHz memory frequency or DDR2-800. Here you can easily see how much difference changing the memory divider makes.
As third test we wanted to know how far this memory could be clocked at a standard voltage of 1.8V with the regular timings. The overclock to DDR2-900 is really impressive.
With such great overclocking at 1.8V I didn't expect much more with extra voltage. This time I skipped the intermediate voltages and went right to 2.1V. Another 20 MHz is very nice and gives another little performance boost.
What if you don't need extremely high MHz, but want good timings? We tested how far the timings could be tightened. Here the A-Data DDR2-800 shows excellent results too. We could reach 3-2-2-4 without any problems. 3-2-2-4 is the fastest possible setting you can use on the Intel chipset. Even a little bit of overclocking is possible here.
The memory almost reaches its advertised 400 MHz at the timings of 4-4-4-12, another excellent result.
For further comparison, the test "JEDEC DDR2-400" shows a generic DDR-2 module running at JEDEC standard timings.
