I would like to thank Alphacool for supplying the review sample.

Alphacool is well known for their liquid cooling products for both CPUs and GPUs, related accessories, as well as fans. As such it is always nice to see a new product type being offered. The Alphacool Apex series primarily consists of the Apex Pro Skeleton SKU, which comes with a built-in distribution plate and vertical GPU mount. In addition to that there is the Alphacool Apex Skeleton, which we will be reviewing here. This variant drops the two components mentioned and offers a lower price point for those who want to use the case with different cooling components.

Packaging

The Alphacool Apex Skeleton comes fully assembled in a big cardboard box which simply lists the product name in the front and a partial diagram of the chassis on the back, along with some dimensional tags. On the sides, things are similar as one panel lists some legal data, while the other offers another view of the Apex Skeleton alongside additional dimensions.

It feels like this case packaging was not quite final, as the thick foam spacers did not really fit so well and Alphacool employed some dense foam pads to bridge that difference. A black, branded cloth bag is used in place of a plastic bag, thus enhancing the overall unboxing experience.
