Finished Looks

I had a good laugh getting this B450 Gaming-ITX/ac up and running. First of all, I decided to use a Ryzen 3 2200G to test with, partly because of how affordable this APU is, but also because of the included cooler. When it came time to install the APU to this board, it needed new paste, which I applied quickly. I then had to perform a bit of surgery to the board to install the stock cooler, as the plastic clips were in the way. Maybe I should have checked that before applying the paste? After a couple of moments that was taken care of and I could get the board into my test bench and up and running.

Wiring the board was a treat, as the careful placement of all the plugs and headers ensures that the inside of your case doesn't resemble a plate of spaghetti. With everything all connected (and no VGA card present), the board's layout really helps with keeping everything nice and tidy, as you can see. This isn't just for looks as it can greatly help airflow too.

Even if you have a small ITX VGA installed that needs dual power cables, the B450 Gaming-ITX/ac is going to look good without much effort. I really need to get a better AMD AM4 chip with one of those stock RGB coolers!
