BIOS Overview

The EFI is very basic and lacks the modern feel of MSI and ASUS. Still, whether you're a seasoned EFI explorer or newcomer it's relatively easy to find your way around, albeit in less visually appealing surrounds than the competition. Also, the EFI didn't default to Easy Mode. If you're new to EFIs, it's a little easier in this mode as you get at the essentials from a single screen instead of delving deep into menus. As per usual, AMD-specific tweaking and overclocking tools are located both in the OC Tweaker section plus the Advanced section under AMD Overclocking, which is where you'll find the likes of PBO, Curve Optimizer and Shaper and even a manual overclocking section. Weirdly the thermistor sensor input isn't selectable in the main fan control suite. You have to head out to the standard and very complicated H/W Monitor settings to switch the fan input to it for that header. This isn't the case in the software (or in other EFIs on many other boards) - the thermistor input is there for you to pick from in the drop-down list which you can see over the page.
