Overclocking

With limited overclocking in Windows with its software, the best course of action is the EFI. This provides all the tools you need whether you're just looking to enable Precision Boost Overdrive (this can actually be done from the EFI's Easy Mode page at the top), or do further tweaking such as a manual overclock, Curve Optimizer or Curve Shaper. It's also worth noting that the latest BIOS also includes the option to enable 105 W TDP mode to boost performance of CPUs such as the 65 W Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X. For the moment ASRock lags behind ASUS with its AI overclocking, Dynamic OC Switcher and Core Flex features, but in general, overclocking in their subsequent EFI is mostly similar.

We are in the process of obtaining power consumption data with new test gear and monitoring equipment. For now, the power from the wall using Cinebench R24's multicore test was 338 W compared to 345 W for the ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero.
