The ASUS MAXIMUS IX CODE is a good-looking board, and the relatively neutral gray and black theme should match most builds easily. Important to note is that once a graphics card is installed, the black shield over the CMOS battery and first M.2 slot can not be removed or reinstalled.
The RGB lighting on the ASUS MAXIMUS IX CODE is relatively subdued, limited to the post code display, rear I/O shield, and Republic of Gamers tagline under the CPU socket. The implementation is good and not overdone. The ASUS AURA software is compatible with a lot of other hardware, so there are plenty of options for RGB expansion.
