Packaging

The AZIO ATOM comes in standard black packaging that has the usual render pictures and technical specifications. The front can be opened, and a very detailed quick start guide has been put there.

Shape

The ATOM's shape isn't quite average. The form factor itself resembles the look of the Logitech G PRO Wireless very much, but feels different in the hands (I'm pretty sure this is due to the weight too). We're talking about a low-profile, fully ambidextrous mouse here, with side buttons on both sides (only one side can be active at a time), so left-handed users may find this mouse very handy as well.

The sides have concave grooves that help a lot with maintaining a steady grip even when you lift the mouse up a lot. It is very well designed, one of the most comfortable side areas I have ever dealt with. The main buttons don't feature any comfort grooves like this, which I personally don't really mind, but some people might find this off-putting. At the back is an LED stripe with a silver ledge that felt quite awkward against the back of my palm, but it probably isn't something you would keep on noticing after some use.

As for the measurements, the ATOM is 126.6 mm (4.98") long, which, while a good average length, is a bit on the larger side of medium, I would say. The width is 65.4 mm (2.57") at the widest part; however, grip width is at about 57 mm (2.24") because of the side grooves. The height is 37.99 mm (1.49") at the tallest point, and the hump is almost centered, with it having been situated a tiny bit towards the back. With these dimensions and such a shape, I would say that the mouse will mainly be comfortable for claw and fingertip grip users with a hand size of 17–21 cm, depending on personal preferences. It can be used for a palm grip as well, but due to the low-profile, doing so would probably require smaller-than-average hands.
