Packaging

The Fnatic Flick 2 arrives in a massive, thick, and heavy box. The color scheme follows Fnatic's usual style, so black, white, and orange colors are highly dominant. There are some technical specifications and a lot of marketing text on and inside the box with some cheeky sentences here and there. There is a lot of dense foam padding inside that protects the mouse from damage during shipping and storage-specific tasks. The contents of this box are the Flick 2 itself and a small cardboard package. This little package contains a quick start guide that includes a lot of different languages and some stickers—no extra set of mouse feet unfortunately, which is quite a big letdown.

Shape

At first glance, the Flick 2 might look quite ordinary, but that is not really the case. It has an ambidextrous shell with side buttons on the left side only, so it will mainly suit right-handed users. The sides are grooved inward both horizontally and vertically, while the front and back ends of the mouse flare out. The main buttons feature some subtle comfort grooves as well.

I initially thought this was a medium-sized, mainly claw and fingertip-grip-oriented mouse, but I was obviously wrong. The Flick 2 is quite big actually, and it has a rather high profile too. I think it's safe to call this shape unique, but it's not really safe to call it safe. It feels a bit like a bigger Cougar Minos X5 in my hands if I had to compare it to another mouse.

Moving on to the measurements, the Flick 2 is around 131 mm (5.16") long, which means it's a long rodent compared to the majority. The widest width is 70.2 mm (2.76") at the back, but the actual width at which it is gripped is way narrower, being only about 60 mm (2.36"). It is about 40 mm (1.57") tall at the tallest point, and the hump is not exactly centered, but located a tiny bit towards the back. With these dimensions and such a shape, this mouse will mainly suit palm grippers and claw grippers with hands bigger than 18 cm. Of course, there are always exceptions, and it's entirely up to personal preference.
