The FSP M580 Plus has a retail price of just $125. This price point is great on several levels. On one hand, you get a single curved glass exterior, something that is usually not found in a chassis of this price segment. On top of that, the case includes four 30 mm thick high-performance fans which themselves are decked out in features. Thus, simply from a pricing perspective the case manages to deliver very good bang for your buck.
In terms of construction and engineering the FSP M580 Plus only has a bit of flex in some parts, but overall feels perfectly sturdy even with the glass removed. While the tooling is not very intricate, the overall resulting interior is both functional and easy to build in. That focus on simple tooling does mean that you have to live with exposed BTF connectors and an HDD tray which could have been made a bit more flexible. But none of those things take away from the fact that the M580 Plus is great for both ATX and BTF boards. It allows for 360 mm liquid cooling in both the ceiling or the side of the chassis while also offering enough room for fans on the floor without completely blocking you from plugging things into an ATX board or routing cables to the back.
The funny thing is, those fans are both a big reason why this case feels so affordable, but also a point of critique. On one hand these fans seem to have everything: 30 mm thick, ARGB element, blades in the right direction, daisy-chaining, sleeved cables and even individual RPM displays. Although their frames are bulky, they do push quite a bit of air which also makes them extremely loud. That means that the FSP M580 Plus really caters to those who want 30 mm fans for their additional cooling prowess, but who don't care about noise levels. Luckily, FSP also offers a M580 (non-plus), which sports much more traditional 25 mm thick ARGB fans with the right blade layout as well. That variant sells for as little as $109. Yes, this means FSP has almost reached that magical $100 mark with a case sporting a singular bent glass panel. The M580 series is a great case and deserving of the Editor's Choice.
