Granzon GAISC Digital CPU Water Block Review

Introduction

Granzon Logo

So here I was having just finished reviewing five CPU blocks—a round of three from Corsair, Bykski, and Granzon followed by two more higher-end integrated display versions from Corsair and Bykski. My grand plan was to finish this roundup with a second entry from Granzon, also with an integrated display, to wrap up the theme. But before I could do that, Alphacool decided it wanted to jump aboard the encore train with the impressive Core 1 LT. Now it's time to wrap up the series with Granzon's second entry, and one that I finally think meets my expectations of what comes to mind when I think of Granzon.

Don't ask me what Granzon stands for, as even the "About Us" page on the brand website is just full of random marketing lingo. But if you are not familiar with the brand, it's Bykski's higher end offering that focuses primarily on premium and boutique watercooling parts as well as cases to use said parts in. The GAI0.1 was interesting, yet seemed like a fairly basic design which disappointed in its performance and costed more than I felt justified. Today we are looking at the Granzon GAISC, which again has a terrible name for marketing purposes, but immediately pops up with its color display. In fact, there's more going on here than you might think and the "Digital" in the product name alludes as much. The GAISC is a CPU block with an actual tiny display you plug into via HDMI, thus effectively giving you a second screen inside your PC to do whatever you want with, without being limited by specific software implementations. Granzon also says this is rated for higher performance than the other block we saw, so let's see how it fares in our review today which begins with a look at the product specifications in the table below. Thanks to Granzon for providing a sample to TechPowerUp!
