HYTE is the PC components, peripherals, and lifestyle brand of iBUYPOWER, best known for their custom gaming PCs. Today we're taking a look at the HYTE Eclipse HG10 wireless gaming headset, it spiked my interest because of its unusual design and reasonable $100 price tag. The Eclipse HG10 stands out from the crowd of similar looking gaming headsets with its Lunar Grey finish and D-shaped ear cups.
The official technical specification sheet informs us about a 30-hour battery life, lag-free 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, 40-millimeter neodymium magnet drivers, a detachable unidirectional microphone, premium vegan leather ear pads, and out-of-the-box PC, Mac, PS4/PS5 and Nintendo Switch support. Another detail I found interesting was that HYTE dubbed the Eclipse HG10 a no-nonsense wireless gaming headset. Wireless gaming headsets are often the opposite – loaded with features but bogged down with bulky, resource-heavy software. As you'll find out in this review, the Eclipse HG10 breaks the mold in more ways than one.
