This is the third Kingwin PSU I had the chance to review and I must say that it managed to impress me, like the two others did before. Its efficiency is very high, it can deliver its full power easily at very high operating temperatures, it is almost inaudible and on top of that you have to stress it really hard to make the fan start spinning, if you have set the front red switch to ECO mode. It was truly impressive how hard I had to try to increase the internal temperature of the hotbox in order to get the PSU fan to start. At some point I thought that the fan was broken but once it started spinning I realized that this PSU can handle inferno-like heat easily.
Clearly Super Flower managed to create a top performance Platinum platform at a great price and Kingwin was wise enough to take advantage of this, by incorporating this unit into their portfolio. Currently Super Flower's products are not available in the U.S. so if you want to get your hands on one of their units, Kingwin is your only choice.
To sum up, I think that this is a great PSU with an even greater price (although in Europe the similar Super Flower Golden King 1000W can be found at a lower price). For everyone that needs a high capacity, platinum unit that outputs very low to zero noise, since it goes fanless in most cases, the Kingwin LZP-1000 is a one way road. Its strongest competitor is the mighty Seasonic Platinum 1000, which however costs 50 bucks more and can be really loud once its fan starts working at full speed. The latter of course is not a very realistic scenario since all Platinum units have limited energy dissipation so most of the time their fans operate at lower RPMs producing low noise output.
