If you had to pick between the Air 100 Lite and Air 100 ARGB, both in white, you would basically have to pick between a $67 or $76 budget. So for less than $10, you get two extra fans and an ARGB controller. That is a small price to pay for those extras with the ARGB version, but it also puts it squarely into mainstream ATX case territory, which makes the choice for the Air 100 ARGB over a mid-tower cases so much more difficult.
With that in mind, looking at the Air 100 Lite in black, it clocks in at $60, and the white version is $7 more. That drives budget home a bit better with less competitiveness in the space. At the price for the black version, you get plenty of steel instead of all plastic, a clean look, and functional interior. But the white version with its all-white framing and grommets really drives it home at $67 as that is pretty unique.
That makes the Air 100 Lite in white the most appealing choice of all the Air 100 variants, but you still have to be able to look past the top panel design issues, for example. That said, odds are those who have a tight budget will go for a more affordable 120 mm tower air cooler as well.
All in all, the Montech Air 100 Lite is much more readily recommendable than the black variant and even more interesting than the Air 100 ARGB options.
