Introduction
With a good reputation for offering some decent entry level and midrange boards for Mini-ITX enjoyers in the past, MSI has gone all out and for the first time is now offering enthusiasts 170 mm x 170 mm options for high-end and low-end chipsets on both AMD and Intel platforms, catering to B860, Z890, B850 and X870. The higher end options offer impressive specifications too, with up to four M.2 ports, remarkably high for Mini-ITX boards, of which most feature just two, or perhaps three. Today, we're checking out the MPG B860I Edge Ti Wi-Fi, which is set to retail for around $220.
MSI has gone with its titanium color design here, which is essentially silver/gray rather than pure white. Gigabyte being the logical choice if you need a strictly white Mini-ITX motherboard, its B860 option costs about the same as this MPG B860I Edge Ti. MSI has impressed with its recent motherboards, though, so we're excited to be putting this board through our usual tests to see if it's worth considering.
If you're in the market for a new Mini-ITX motherboard, we'll be looking at plenty more over the next month or two, including the rest of the range from MSI. For those that don't want to seriously overclock their Arrow Lake CPUs, the MSI MPG B860I Edge Ti Wi-Fi is first up from MSI's new range and seems to tick all the boxes in terms of specifications, too.
