Introduction

I would like to thank CaseKing.de for supplying the review sample.

CaseKing is one of the few companies out there, which will not just sell anything. They only offer hardware that performs well and is of high quality. The shop offers quite a few exclusive parts and devices from all around the world and it is also the official distributor for a long list of well known manufacturers. Their assortment has grown greatly in recent years, while great service and support is still a very important part of the shop philosophy. The website may be in German, but due to great demand, an English version is in the works.

NZXT Lexa S

NZXT is pushing their brand with affordable, but well designed enclosures. The Lexa S is the successor to the popular Lexa enclosure. It does not only sport an updated design, but also a few new features to set it apart from the original chassis. The company also lists the case in their "Crafted Series", while the original Lexa and Lexa Blackline are part of the "Classic Series".

Features
  • Immense Performance: 5 fan capability ( Front fan, Top 140mm fan, Side 120MM LED fan rear 120mm exhaust included ), fans rated at 43CFM, 23dB(A)
  • Fan control: Determine noise and airflow based on your needs, dual intakes and dual exhausts are controlled independently
  • Night light: A ambient light over the 5.25 inch drives give visibility in dark rooms and at LAN parties
  • Black on Black: Smoked clear window and a black interior gives the best combination of black on black.
  • Meshed front panel allows for more airflow
  • 5.25 inch Stealth bay to keep a clean look
  • NZXT Solid State bracket allows for two SSD drives to be installed
  • Wire Routing: Motherboard punched holes allows for quick CPU bracket removable and optimal wire routing.
  • Turned HDD also helps with providing a cleaner look.
  • High end graphics card support, extra space is especially designed to fit longer 10.5 inch cards
  • Side mounted USB, Audio, and E-SATA ports
  • Mounting holes for dual radiator at the top
  • Removable filter at the bottom PSU
It looks like NZXT has decided to go into much greater detail with their feature list of the Lexa S. Behind some of the well worded features are simple things which other companies would not even consider mentioning. For example, "5.25 inch Stealth bay to keep a clean look" really translates to "front door to cover the drive bays" in the real world.
