A Look Inside »

Packaging

The packaging features a black background and the heavy use of yellow makes a striking contrast. On the front there is an angled photo of the PSU along with the distinguished reference to its capacity and the fully modular design. There are only two badges on the face of the box, one for the 80 PLUS Bronze certification and one for the five year warranty. On the rear side we find the technical specifications and a brief description of the unit's crucial characteristics. There is also an angled photo of the PSU's modular panel along with the power specifications table. Finally, on one of the packaging's sides you will find an illustration showing all available cables/connectors and their lengths.

Contents

Once we opened the box we found neatly arranged internals. On one side resides the unit, protected by a cloth bag and on the other side there is a smaller box holding all accessories. Since transportation can be really tough sometimes, we would like to see some packaging foam additional to the cloth bag, which offers only the basic protection against scratches etc. The smaller box stores the modular cables, an AC power cord, four zip ties, a set of fixing bolts and a user's manual.

Exterior

The side decals look cool and the yellow color makes a nice match with the unit's grey semi-mate finish. On the front we meet the classic honeycomb grill and an On/Off switch. On the rear there is the full modular panel with plenty of sockets. The power specifications label is mounted on the bottom side of the unit so it won't mess with the modders' plans. The fan grill features the classic design with a Z (Zorro!) letter on its center.
