For these measurements, we used a high-quality CEM-8852 Sound DB Meter that was installed 50cm away from the NAS. The ambient noise in our lab during noise measurements was close to 30dBA.
The output noise is minimal with the fans operating in auto mode or at low speeds; however, things change at full speed.
