Installation

When installing the Raijintek Aidos, you will first want to line the backplate up with the four holes on the motherboard. Now, drop the four long screws into place before using the plastic nuts to secure the backplate.

Take the mounting arms and slide them down over the screws and onto the plastic nuts. Use the four metal nuts to securely hold the mounting arms in place. All you have to do now is apply the thermal paste in preparation for mounting the cooler.

Take the crossbar and set it in place on the heatsink before lining the holes on it up with both posts on the mounting arms. From there, secure the cooler in place with the M3 screws, but make sure to alternate between them to spread the thermal paste out evenly as you fasten them down.

You will have to attach the anti-vibration fan mounts to the fan before sliding it into place on the cooler. Once the fan is securely attached, plug the fan into the CPU fan header to complete the installation process.

The mounting hardware Raijintek has provided with the Aidos CPU cooler is the same hardware used on their Ereboss and Themis products, and I have said before that it could use some improvement, but it is still fairly easy to use. Spring screws on the crossbar would be more intuitive, but the relatively small size of the Aidos makes it very easy to install.

Overall, I would rate the installation process for the Raijintek Aidos an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
