Introduction

Founded in 1998, Razer is a US-based peripherals and gaming equipment company. While the Viper Mini Signature Edition technically is the first wireless release of the Viper Mini shape done by Razer, its sporadic availability and $279.99 price point certainly limits its appeal. By comparison, the Cobra Pro is much cheaper at $129.99, and comes with many of the niceties people found missing on the Viper V2 Pro: full RGB lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, rubber side grips, and compatibility with the Mouse Dock Pro and Wireless Charging Puck for more convenient charging. Of course, the Cobra Pro is also compatible with the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, enabling true 4000 Hz polling. Other than that, the feature set is already familiar from recent Pro series releases from Razer: Razer's Focus Pro 30K sensor, third-generation optical main button switches rated for 90 million clicks, and pure PTFE feet. Without illumination, Razer cites up to 100 hours of battery life using 2.4 GHz wireless and up to 170 hours using Bluetooth. Of course, all of these features result in a significantly higher weight of 77 g over the 58 g the wired Viper Mini brought on the scale.
