Driver
The Rosewill RK-9000 V2 RGB keyboard doesn't use a driver and everything is done via hardware.
Performance wise the Rosewill RK-9000 ticks all the boxes, it is comfortable to use and I felt no wrist pain or strain the whole time I was using it. The build quality is fine, there was no flexing whilst using it and the switches are fantastic as would be expected for Cherry MX.
The Macro functions are somewhat limited, but you can record, delete and also change the timing all via hardware which is nice for those who don't like to install software. Along with the macros the keyboard has media keys, volume control and even a Windows lock key.
Lighting options are plentiful and although there is no software you can customize the keyboard quite freely, it does take some time to get used to using the hardware options rather than software but after the learning curve it is fine.
As always we see very similar lighting modes from the hardware controlled keyboards. The LEDs are vivid and bright and speeds for the dynamic lighting can be controlled.
One dynamic mode that I really like is this one, I haven't seen it as much and it looks really colorful.
There are also some reactive modes that activate when you press a key.
The per-key lighting options allow you to create your own profile and you are able to save these multiple times.
The LEDs are bright enough to be seen brightly even when the room is well lit.
