Introduction

AMD's HD 7770 has been out for a while now and most board partners have released their customs designs. The card is based on AMD 28 nanometer silicon combined with the GCN shader architecture which promises lower power consumption at increased performance.



Sapphire's HD 770 Vapor-X uses the company's famous vapor chamber cooling solution and greatly increased clock speeds of 1100 MHz GPU and 1300 MHz memory.

The Card

Sapphire's cooler uses a stylish design that is dominated by black and white which gives the card an elegant touch.


The card requires two slots in your system.


Display connectivity options include two DVI ports, one full size HDMI port and one full-size DisplayPort. You may use all the outputs at the same time, thanks to AMD's display output architecture.

An HDMI sound device is included in the GPU, too. It is HDMI 1.4a compatible which includes HD audio and support for Blu-ray 3D movies. The DisplayPort outputs are version 1.2 which enables the use of hubs and Multi-Stream transport.


You may combine up to two HD 7770 cards from any vendor in a multi-GPU CrossFire configuration for higher framerates or better image quality settings.
