Finished Looks

The pump being boxy by design, the LED diffusion ring around the sides results in a block that does little to garner any attention when the lighting is turned off. Only the fans with their white translucent blades stand out, adding a bit of contrast to the black radiator and chassis. It is also worth noting that I was able to install the pump with the tubing facing down. Typically, this is not possible on my test bench; however, thanks to the swivel fittings and their wide range of motion, doing so was quite easy.

As is the case with most liquid coolers, the Navis EVO ARGB 280 offers perfect clearance for both system memory and graphics cards on our test bench.

The ARGB LED illumination of SilentiumPC Navis EVO is quite nice but not perfect. Control via the motherboard was flawless with no hiccups, and all the various lighting modes worked as well. That said, the LEDs flicker. While not a problem with a static color, when using rainbow modes, or any other color-shifting options, the LEDs will flicker occasionally. Granted, it is not the end of the world, and on casual observation, it is easy to miss, but look closely and you will notice it in the video above. Normally, I would consider this unforgivable in a closed-loop cooler, especially with the insane pricing these days. However, since this unit has an MSRP of around $84, I would say this minor blimp is inconsequential.
