Assembly

Tagan has included the standard variety of front panel and motherboard connectors for the A+ Diablo Advance. It's nice to see that they pre-routed the eSATA cable along with the rest of the cables, as well as including a thermal sensor cable for the front display which can be mounted wherever the user chooses. The front USB 2.0 header cables are a little short, but was easily remedied by repositioning the retainer that holds the cables in place on the upper portion of the case.

Installation of the motherboard is easy and straightforward with the provided motherboard standoffs and screws. There is ample room for a full sized ATX motherboard within the cases confines which also leave plenty of room for any of the largest popular video cards available on the market today.

Optical drive installation is tool-less and a breeze. All that is required is pushing the tabs inward on each side of the bay cover and the punching out of the metal flash behind the cover. Both remove very easily. The 5.25" drive mounts use pins instead of screws and fit perfectly within the optical drives screw holes. Once the mounts are installed on both sides, the drive is simply pushed into the front of the unit until it clicks. The drive is then ready to go.

The hard disk mounts work in the same fashion as the optical drive with the exception that it is all one piece. The pins are inserted into one side of the HDD, then the mount needs to be somewhat "stretched" in order to insert the pins to the other side. Once the mount is installed, the hard disk is simply pushed into the HDD bay until it clicks into place. The mount features an offset handle in front for easy cable connecting and aid in removal.

Just the same as many other cases, installing the power supply requires using four screws and a screwdriver. The PSU sits evenly on the cases upper support rails and the A+ Diablo Advance leaves plenty of room around the PSU for routing the cables.

With everything installed there is still a lot of space left over in the case. With all of the fans and temperature controls there are indeed a lot of cables and wires to work with. The cables for the PSU are long enough, but in a large case such as the A+ Diablo Advance cable management will take time as there aren't many access holes to work with. With thought and time, any user should be able to route the cables to their desired look.
