Heavy Photoshop use can result in heavy disk activity, while the scratch file is processed. In this test, we measure the time it takes Photoshop to open fifteen 50 megapixel images at the same time and, once done, process each image, one by one. The operations performed on each image are crop, move, auto levels, resize, and save for the Web.

Adobe Premiere Pro Media Import

Importing large media files into Premiere Pro takes quite a while, because the media cache is generated during the import, and audio waveforms are calculated for peak detection (conforming). In this test, we measure the time it takes to fully import 100 Full HD clips (29 GB).
