Thermaltake Aquabay M4 Review

Installation Continued

After setting the cooler on top of the drive and screwing it down this phase is done. But you may want to give it a once over.

Inspect the four corners of the drive to verify the HDD is setting flat on the chassis.

Next depending on the size of your tubing, select the size quick connect you'll be using and screw them in snug. Each quick connect has a rubber o-ring on the end to prevent leakage.

You'll want to have had the M4 mounted prior to installing the tubing, but I did include the picture above to show readers how easy they install.

Finally the Thermaltake Aquabay M4 mounted in the drive bay from inside the case and a picture of the M4 from the front of the case.

Above is a set of clamps with rubber ends that I used to add the M4 to my water loop. This will work for any Thermaltake water cooling kit because of the quick connects. By clamping them on about inch and half or so from the end of the quick connect you can seal off the tubing. With a towel across the video card you can safely remove the tubing without having to drain the water loop. You will get a few drips but not much.

From here all I had to do was add the tubing run from the CPU water block using a freshly cut piece of provided tubing to the "in" quick connect on the cooler, running the clamped tubing to the "out" quick connect and tighten them down. I then connected a spare PSU and powered up the pump and topped off the coolant. It took longer mounting the M4 in the 5 1/4" bay than installing it to the water cooling loop.
