Installation

Installation is pretty quick and painless since it's an Asetek design. Simply add your foam spacers to the backplate, remove the plastic covering the adhesive, and stick it on the motherboard. With the backplate on the motherboard, use the included screw pillars to secure it in place.

With thermal paste pre-applied, no thermal paste needs to be applied unless you prefer a different paste. If so, clean the copper coldplate and apply the paste to the CPU. With the CPU ready, slide the pump block over the screw pillars and secure it with the included nuts.

All that remains now is to mount the radiator, install the fans, and hook up the wiring. These steps are quick and relatively easy—you shouldn't run into any problems. It should be noted that my units did not come with a Y-cable for the fans which can make the install a bit tricky if you don't have one available or your motherboard has limited fan headers.

Overall, I would rate the overall installation procedure on mainstream Intel platforms a 9 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The mounting process is simple and easy to follow—it shouldn't prove problematic for even first-time builders.
